Great Barrington Female Dies in Car Accident

Annemarie E. Bushka, a female in her 60’s, was killed while driving mid-morning Sunday, April 15th on Maple Avenue in Great Barrington, Western Massachusetts. Ms. Bushka was a Great Barrington resident. The man that hit her head-on was New York City man Robert Bacigalupi, also in his 60’s. He was also injured in the crash, and was transported to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment.

Great Barrington Police will request that charges are filed against Mr. Bacigalupi for vehicular homicide. They are still looking into how the incident occurred and ask that any witnesses please contact them at 413-528-0306.

Quincy Man Hospitalized After Car Crashes into a Home

A male driver on Quarry Street in Quincy, smashed into a home with such a severe impact that he had to be transported to Southshore Medical Center, on Sunday. He was driving downhill, and for unknown reasons the vehicle swerved off the pavement, initially colliding with a couple of vehicles in a driveway before hitting the house.

Witnesses living nearby could see the aftermath of the collision, the truck protruding from the home. One witness noted that the driver was conscious immediately after the crash, but appeared confused. Several neighbors rushed to the scene. A neighbor of the home reported that this is not the first time a vehicle has crashed into that house, and not the first time that particular portion of the house was hit. The house was empty at the time of this accident.

Memorial Drive Train Crossing Fatality in Springfield (Update)

Today, Hampden District Attorney representative James Leydon confirmed that the female who died in the train crossing on Memorial Drive just after 2 a.m. on Saturday was a Springfield resident named Kenisha Forbes.

Further details establish that her Sport Utility Vehicle crashed into the rear of the train as it was barreling down the tracks.

The Motor Vehicle Homicide Unit of Hampden District Attorney’s Office, in conjunction with the Springfield Police Department are looking into how this could have occurred.

A few candles and rubbish mark the site of the accident.

Russell Police Vehicle Slammed Into While Parked

Late Saturday afternoon, Sergeant Andrew Hawley of the Russell Police force was parked off Route 20 close to Raymur Drive. His blue lights were on and clearly visible.

It is unclear if he was inside his patrol car when a car going west crashed into it. The force caused the westbound car to land on its side leaning on the rear of the patrol unit. The police unit was crushed in the rear and the windows and lights were smashed.

Law enforcement has not released the exact crimes that the driver will face in court.

Cannabis Car Accident in Medford

Reports out this morning indicate that a young man named Jeffrey Liao was involved in a car accident in the afternoon of April 14th. When Medford Police officers entered his vehicle they discovered several pounds of marijuana in various forms for sale.

The nearly 30-year-old man is from Sharon, and the accident occurred on Main Street in Medford. The car was removed by a flatbed truck. Officer Jason Montalbano stated that the illegal items found in the vehicle were clearly put together to be sold later.

Springfield Man Splits Car in Two in Accident with Utility Pole

A late night accident occurred on Saturday, April 14th on Carew Street in Springfield. A 66-year-old man ripped his Porsche into after running in two after colliding with a utility pole. It was well into the early morning hours of Sunday April 15th, when the road was cleared and he was transported with severe injuries.

The impact broke apart the utility pole as well. The Chicopee Police crash reconstruction team is evaluating the incident.

Flatbed Truck Runs Over Man, Crashes Into Tree (Update)

The Worcester Police Department has revealed the tow truck workers involved in Friday afternoon’s accident are Pipo’s Tow Company proprietor, a man in his thirties, and his nearly sixty year old employee. They each call Worcester home.

The Department has provided further information on the injuries. The Pipo’s Tow Company employee suffers from broken ribs and maybe a broken area of the shoulder. The young owner of the company suffers from head and torso injuries.

Reports now indicate that first responders discovered one man on the pavement with noticeable and severe head injuries causing blood flow. It is confirmed that the Worcester Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is now handling the case.
