Two-Vehicle Accident Leads to Death of Robert LindShirley, MA (June 29, 2018) – One person was killed following a head-on collision in Shirley, Massachusetts Thursday night.  Local police responded to 134 Great Falls Road in reference to an accident with serious injuries around 11:00 pm.  Both cars involved in the crash were found to have heavy front-end damage.  Shirley police on scene noted it was “immediately apparent” that the accident was serious.

The injured driver was transported by paramedics to a local hospital.  Unfortunately, the driver later succumbed to their injuries.  Police arrested the second driver on scene although it is not known what charges that driver faces at this time.  Shirley police continue to investigate the accident.  The deceased individual was not immediately identified in the aftermath of the crash.

Update: Four Teens Who Died in Crash Were Stoughton High StudentsWe previously reported on a serious crash that took place in Brockton on Friday night.  In that crash, a pickup truck collided with a sedan as the sedan was traveling on East Street in Brockton.  Brockton Police arrived on scene and that the pickup truck driver was attempting to pass the sedan while it was turning into a driveway.  Ultimately, a collision occurred between the driver of the sedan and the pickup.

The driver of the sedan was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.  He was listed initially in critical condition.  Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries.  Now, Brockton Police have identified the deceased individual as 54 year old Jorge Leite.  Leite was a native of Brockton.

Witnesses on scene described the pickup truck as speeding through the area at an unsafe speed in excess of 80 mph just before the collision.  The speed limit in the area of the crash is 30 mph.  The truck driver has been identified by Brockton Police as 22 year old Robert Kildayy of West Bridgewater.  Kilday was found on the ground when police arrrived on scene according to Brockton police Sgt. George Khoury.  The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the collision and may charge Kilday in the death.

Two-Vehicle Accident Leads to Death of Robert LindA tragic head-on crash occurred in Bedford, Massachusetts on Saturday morning.  The crash took place on the Middlesex Turnpike, near the intersection with Oak Park Drive, just a little before 9:00 am.  At that time, multiple emergency units, including the Bedford Police and Bedford Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the collision.  Upon arrival, authorities discovered the crash involved a woman and an 85 year old man from Billerica.

Through a subsequent investigation, police were able to determine that the man was traveling south on Turnpike and the woman was traveling north in the opposite lane.  The man’s vehicle crossed over the center line suddenly and struck the woman’s vehicle head-on.  Emergency workers on scene administered treatment to both victims before transporting them to a nearby hospital.  Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries.  The woman has injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.  The man’s identity has not been released pending notification of his family.  The crash investigation remains ongoing and at this time it is unclear what caused him drift into the oncoming travel lane.

Reports from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office indicate that victim as in her 50s and had refused treatment at the scene of the accident on Thursday. The female eventually arrive at the Brockton Hospital where she was then transferred to Beth Israel Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

On Thursday, around 10 a.m., law enforcement were dispatched to the gas station at Main Street and Perkins Street. There, they discovered that a GMC Yukon collided into the female victim’s vehicle, before crashing into the gas station – slamming into a pole in the process. The GMC Yukon was stopped by another vehicle at the gas station.

The identities of the people involved have not been released.

Reports out today indicate that a Lawrence male was declared deceased at the site of a head-on collision in Haverhill Wednesday evening. Haverhill Fatality Steven Martin

Essex district attorney’s office, reveals, 52-year-old Steven Martin passed away in the 8:22 p.m. accident.

According to reports, Martin was driving his 1999 Acura on River Road close to its intersection of Fletcher Avenue at the moment of the accident.

The driver of the other car, a 2011 Ford Fiesta, sustained minimal injuries. The 44-year-old Haverhill female was attended to at Holy Family Hospital.

The accident remains under review and no criminal citations have been issued.

Today, Manchester Police revealed that Thomas Tortora was the victim of a fatal accident on Sunday. The man, a Manchester resident, was killed on Highland Street by impact. Manchester wrongful death guard rail accident

Tortora was traveling down Highland Street at a great rate of speed. His vehicle slammed into a guard rail, the force of which ejected him from the scene of the accident. He was declared dead at the scene.

Initial law enforcement conclusions are that the cause of the accident was speed.

Today, the Massachusetts State Police have released the identity of the woman killed in the single-vehicle accident in Mattapoisett yesterday. Bourne Woman Car Fatality

She was 38-year-old Bourne resident Marcy Cushing.

Early yesterday morning her Toyota Camry crashed into a tree after veering off the highway on Route 195 East. No further details have been released.

At 5 p.m. on Monday a male in his 60s was hit by a vehicle, driven by a man in his 30s, and killed while on a walk in Lowell. The accident occurred on Lowell fatal pedestrian accidentChurch Street near Warrent Street according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. The man was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries, where he succumbed to those injuries.

Lowell Police, Massachusetts State Police and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section are looking into the incident.
