250307_wrecked_beemer-300x224Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – An accident with injuries was reported to Worcester police around noon on Saturday, June 30th.  Reports indicate that the crash occurred within the Worceseter city limits in the 100 block of Gold Star Boulevard.   Gold Star Boulevard is located just off the downtown area in a busy section of the city.

Officers responding to this location found that multiple cars were involved in the crash.  Unfortunately, there were also injuries reported in the collision though the extent of injuries is unknown at this time.  Police have not determined a cause for the crash and will continue their investigation.  All involved in this accident cooperated with officers on scene.  This accident is filed under report number 2018000071367 with the Worcester Police Department.  No other details were immediately available as of Sunday morning.

download-4-2Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – There were multiple injury accidents which took place early Saturday afternoon in the city of Worcester.  Police responded to at least three of these accidents, all occurring around 2:00 pm.

One such accident happened in the 200 block of Grafton Street.  Grafton Street is located in the center of town.  Police responded to this location amid reports of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries.   Upon their arrival, it was confirmed that, in fact, the accident involved injuries to at least one person.

Fire and rescue officials assisted police with the accident recovery and investigation.  Medical treatment was provided to the injured victim, whose condition is not known at this time.  The affected area was congested with traffic for a period of time following the accident and experienced some residual delay after the crash was cleared.  The accident cause remains under investigation at this time and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be issued.

download-6Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – Worcester police were called to the 1000 block of Millbury Street around 2:00 pm Saturday in reference to a multi vehicle accident with injuries sustained.  Officers quickly responded and discovered at least one person was injured by the crash.   First aid was given on scene and the injured victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be further evaluated for their injuries.  There is no additional word on their condition at this time.

Traffic on Millbury Street experienced delays as a result of the crash.  Officers remained on scene for a brief period of time to complete their crash investigation before re-opening the affected travel lanes.  Those involved in this crash have not been identified.  No citations were immediately issued as a result of the accident.  Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash as of Saturday evening.

asphalt-bicycle-bike-686230-300x200Swansea, MA (July 1, 2018) – Tragedy struck for a bicyclist on Saturday morning in Swansea, Massachusetts.  Police there say 76 year old Jose Pacheco was riding a bike in the 500 block of Bark Street when he was struck by a a Jeep Wrangler.  Police received a call immediately after the accident an came to the scene.  Pacheco was suffering from life-threatening injuries.  He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Swansea police detective Jonathan Boyd and Patrolman Kyle Harmon are investigating the cause of the crash.  They are being assisted by crash reconstruction specialists with the Massachsuetts State Police. No charges have been issued at this time, however, police have not said whether they expect to later issues charges.  The driver of the Jeep was identified as a 46 year old woman from Somerset, Massachusetts.  No additional information about the crash is available at this time.

download-4-1Haverhill, MA (July 1, 2018) – A head-on collision in Haverhill Massachusetts this weekend resulted in injuries to two people.   The crash took place at River Road and View Streets.  Haverhill police say that a 62 year old resident of Malden, Massachusetts and a 63 year old resident of Newton, New Hampshire were involved in this crash.  Police did not reveal which driver was responsible for causing the crash.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment after the accident.  The 62 year old is listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries while the 63 year old sustained only minor injuries.  The crash remains under investigation according to Haverhill police captain Steven Doherty.  As of Saturday evening, no charges had been filed in connection with the accident.

22ndPedestrian Accident in BostonLowell, MA (July 1, 2018) – A child was struck by a car after running out into the road in Lowell, Massachusetts.  The accident happened on Saturday morning.  The boy, identified as a 5 year old was playing in a front yard at 74 Hanks Street in Lowell.  For an unknown reason, the boy ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle passing through the neighborhood.  A medical helicopter was called to the scene to treat the boy for injuries.  His condition is not known at this time but it is believed that, fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the car remained on scene to cooperate with police.  No charges have been filed at this time but it is unknown if police intend to pursue charges at a later date.  The accident remains under further investigation by Lowell Police.

Update: Pedestrian Identified in West Bridgewater Accident  Worcester, MA (June 30, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Saturday in Worcester, Massachusetts causing injuries.  The pedestrian was walking along Chandler Street on the right side of the road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the far right lane.  The impact forced the pedestrian to roll onto the hood and into the car’s windshield.  He then fell off the car and landed on a curb.

Worcester police, fire and ambulance officials all rushed to the scene.  The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.  The man was stabilized and then taken to a local hospital for treatment.  He is currently listed in fair condition.  The driver of the car is identified only as a 51 year old Worcester resident.  This accident remains under investigation by Worcester police.  No charges were immediately issued following the crash.

Hit-and-Run on Brattle StreetFreetown, MA (June 30, 2018) – An accident over the weekend in Freetown, Massachusetts caused multiple people to be hospitalized for injuries.  Massachusetts State Police responded to Interstate 40 amid reports of a serious accident involving multiple vehicles.  The accident happened in the southbound lanes of the highway involving a Ford Transit Van, an Acura and a Corolla.

There is no word on how the accident occurred.  State police report that three people were transported to hospitals, two were taken to Rhode Island Hospital and the third, an 8 year old boy was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence Rhode Island.  The seriousness of the injuries could not be immediately confirmed.   Massachusetts State Police are continuing to investigate the accident and what may have caused it to occur.  A State Police Spokesman on Saturday confirmed that no charges have been filed at this time.
