McClellan Highway on Wednesday.  Just after 8:30 am, police received reports of an accident involving injuries at this location.   The accident involved multiple cars, although the cause of the crash is still unknown as police have not released any additional details.  Officer Kevin Golden of the Boston Police Department investigated the crash.

The condition of the injured victims is also unknown at this time.  The Boston police are still investigating the crash and any additional details, including the identity of the drivers and any charges from the accident, will be released as soon as they are made available.

Pedestrian Accident in West Bridgewater  Harwich Port, MA (July 12, 2018) – A pedestrian suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday in Harwich Port.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was crossing Ayer Road near Route 28 around 5:00 pm.  At that time, a white minivan crossed in front of the victim, striking her and knocking her onto the ground.  The Harwich Fire Department, along with Harwich Police responded to the scene to assist the injured woman.   The woman suffered a non-life threatening injury in the collision.  She was sent to Cape Cod Hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery.

Harwich Police took statements from both the injured pedestrian as well as the driver of the minivan.  The accident remains under investigation and no charges had been reported as of Thursday morning.

983414_bicycle_path-224x300Salem, MA (July 12, 2018) – A boy crossing the street on his bicycle was struck by a vehicle in Salem on Wednesday.  The collision occurred just before 5:30 pm on Lafayette and Laurel Streets.  The boy, identified only as a 14 year old, was riding his bicycle in a crosswalk at the intersection.  He was about three quarters of the way through the intersection when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Police and an ambulance unit responded to the crash scene to render first aid to the boy.  He suffered what is being described as a non-critical leg injury and was transported to North Shore Children’s Hospital for treatment.  The driver of the vehicle did remain on scene to speak with police.  Officers have charged the driver with failing to yield for a pedestrian.

Plymouth House Fire Injures OneSalem, MA (July 12, 2018) – A driver in Salem, Massachusetts sustained injuries in a crash Wednesday. The crash occurred at 7:00 am  in the 1000 block of Loring Street.  Police say two vehicles collided with one another for unknown reasons.  The force of the collision caused the airbags in one of the vehicles to be deployed.

Police discovered that one driver was injured in the crash and requested that an ambulance also respond to the crash.  The injured victim accepted medical treatment.  It is not known at this time whether the victim was also transported to the hospital for additional attention.  This accident remains under investigation with no cause immediately given by Salem police.

Massachusetts I-95 crash injuriesMansfield, MA (July 12, 2018) – A rollover crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Mansfield.  The crash, which occurred just after 5:00 pm, took place on Interstate 495, near the interchange with highway 95.  The crash, involving two vehicles, left one vehicle rolled onto its side as a result of the impact.  Police and rescue workers responded to the scene to discover at least one person suffering from injuries caused by the crash.  The victims were transported to the hospital but there is no word at this time on their condition.

Traffic in the northbound lanes was at a standstill while police and others worked to investigate the crash and clear away the accident scene.  The accident is the subject of an ongoing investigation and no conclusion has been reached regarding the cause of the crash.  Police have not identified either of the drivers involved at this time.

Accident on Route 95 at Exit 8Worcester, MA (July 12, 2018) – A crash with injuries is slowing the Thursday morning commute in Worcester.  Just after 6:30 am a crash was reported in the eastbound travel lanes of Interstate 290, near exit 21 at Plantation Street.  Two vehicles collided with one another at this location.  Authorities, including police, fire and ambulance officials are on the scene of the accident.   There are injuries reported from this crash, though there is no word on the severity of injuries or whether anyone has been taken to the hospital.

Heavy delays are being experienced as driver approach the accident scene.  Police have asked motorists to avoid the area for at least an hour while the wreckage is cleared and the roadway is re-opened for traffic.  An active investigation is ongoing into this crash.   No further details are immediately available.

IInjury Accident on Shrewsbury StreetSutton, MA (July 12, 2018) – A wrong way driver in Sutton, Massachusetts caused a crash with injuries on Wednesday afternoon.  The crash was reported to authorities in Sutton around 2:15 pm.  The car was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 146 at the time of the crash.  While traveling southbound, the car collided with another car coming northbound in the same lane, according to reports from the Massachusetts State Police.   The crash occurred near Colonial Road.

There were injuries sustained in this crash, although they are fortunately not considered life-threatening.  Both northbound lanes of Route 146 were closed shortly after the crash while police investigated.  They re-opened after 3:00 pm.

State Police are investigating the crash and what may have caused the driver to travel the wrong way down Route 146.  There is no word on any charges at this time.

download-4-4Huntington, MA (July 12, 2018) – A serious crash on Route 112 in Huntington left two people injured Wednesday evening.  Just before 8:00 pm, a pickup truck was traveling on 112, near mile marker 6 when the driver lost control.  The car left the roadway, went through a guardrail, and crashed into a set of trees.  Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash.

State Police Sgt. Paul Sullivan said that the driver was pinned in the vehicle and that his passenger, a woman, also suffered injuries in the crash.  Both the male driver and female passenger were extricated from the truck and rushed to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. There is no word on the extent or severity of their injuries at this time.

The Massachusetts State Police are working with an accident reconstruction team in order to determine what may have caused the crash.  There is no further information available at this time.

Accident at Exit 22 in WorcesterHatfield, MA (July 12, 2018) – A three vehicle crash in Hatfield, Massachusetts was reported to police on Wednesday afternoon.  The call came in around 4:05 pm concerning three cars involved in a wreck on northbound Interstate 91, near the Chestnut Street overpass.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the accident call.  Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene upon reports of injuries suffered in the crash.  Several people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.  Traffic was slowed for at least two miles coming from the site of the accident in the northbound lanes.  The southbound side also experienced issues due to onlooker delays.

Massachusetts State Police are still investigating and have released no further details regarding the accident as of Thursday morning.

images-6Bridgewater, MA (July 12, 2018) – A three car crash in Bridgewater on Wednesday afternoon sent multiple people to the hospital.  Bridgewater police and fire officials responded to a call regarding an accident on Pleasant Street around 3:20 pm.  Three cars were involved in this crash: a white Toyota, a gray Nissan Pathfinder and a black Jeep.  The black Jeep rolled over in the crash and was lying upside down on its hood when officers arrived on scene.

Initially, a medical helicopter was requested to transport injured victims but it was later called off.  The victims were eventually transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.  Witnesses reported car parts littering the street at the scene of the crash.  The road was completely closed until approximately 4:00 pm when one lane was re-opened for traffic.

The cause of the crash as well as the condition of the victims remains unknown at this time as the police investigation is still ongoing.
