Stoughton Police Looking for Vehicle Seen Driving Away from CrashSalem, MA (July 14, 2018) –  A two car hit and run accident took place in Salem, Massachusetts on Friday and resulted in injuries to at least one driver.  The accident happened at 1:57 pm in the 400 block of Highland Avenue. Salem Police responded to the scene and began investigating the crash.

When police arrived, they discovered a two car crash had just occurred at this location. Unfortunately, only one of the drivers remained on scene to speak with police and assist in their investigation as the other driver quickly fled the scene of the collision prior to officers’ arrival.   Salem police have not said how the accident occurred, or which driver was at fault for the crash.  One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.  No word at this time on the identity of the drivers at this time.  The accident is pending further investigation and charges are expected to be filed once the hit and run driver can be apprehended.

Cape Cod Mall, Hyannis Car CrashCambridge, MA (July 13, 2018) – A Cambridge man was hurt in a hit and run that took place along Massachusetts Avenue on Wednesday.  Cambridge Police were called to the Central Square area in reference to a hit and run on Wednesday just after 10:00 pm.   Once on scene, they discovered that a man had been hit by a vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene shortly after hitting the man and was not present when police arrived to investigate.

The man was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries sustained in the incident.  Police have been unable to locate the hit and run driver as of Friday.  The investigation into the crash remains ongoing and the hit and run driver is expected to be charged once they are apprehended.

Bicycle Accident Injures 15-Year-OldCambridge, MA (July 12, 2018) – A bicyclist in Cambridge, Massachusetts reported a hit and run crash to police on Wednesday.  The report came in at 7:13 pm.   The bicyclist was riding near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Langdon Street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction.  The bicyclist did suffer injuries in the crash but the extent of injuries is unspecified at this time.

Police are actively searching for the hit and run vehicle and have made no arrests as of Thursday morning.  They have not released a description of the vehicle they are searching for at this time.  No other details regarding this crash were made available.

Accident Involving Police Vehicle on Causeway StreetTaunton, MA (July 10, 2018) – A pedestrian in Taunton was hurt in hit and run that took place on Sunday morning, according to Taunton Police Lieutenant Eric Nichols.  The victim, who has been identified only as a female, was at a home at 62 Shores Street when she was struck by a vehicle attempting to back out of a driveway.  Taunton police have classified the incident as a “disturbance” but have provided no further information on what led up to the collision.

Police and EMS arrived on scene to treat the woman for injuries sustained after being struck by the car.  She was transported to Morton Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.  At this time, police have not made any arrests in the hit and run incident, however, they believe that they know the identity of the driver and are engaging in active search to find them.  No additional information has been released regarding this incident.

Injury Accident at Soshier Road in BeverlyMelrose, MA (July 10, 2018) – A hit and run in Melrose early Monday morning left an 85 year old man fighting for his life.  Previously, we reported this to you yesterday.  The man was injured just after 5:00 am Monday while walking along a street in Melrose.  He was out for morning exercise when a wrong way driver struck him.  As a result of the crash, he was left with life-threatening injuries.

Police have identified the injured man as 85 year old Frank Bozzo.  Bozzo is a well known Catholic School archivist and Catholic father in his neighborhood.  Neighbor Dave Curran, who heard the collision and rushed to Bozzo’s aid called it “a shame” that anyone would commit such a horrific act against another person.  Melrose Police Chief Michael Lyle says police are focusing their search on a vehicle which may have unexplained damage to the passenger’s side.   Police have yet to locate any suspects and have not released a description of the vehicle that hit Bozzo as of early Tuesday.

Pedestrian Accident on Harrison AvenueMelrose, MA (July 9, 2018) – In sad news out of Melrose, an elderly man sustained life-threatening injuries on Monday morning following a hit and run incident.  The incident happened just before 5:45 am.  Officers responded to Herbert Street find the man lying in the roadway suffering from serious injuries.  The man was apparently out for a morning walk when he was struck by a wrong-way driver, according to Melrose Police Chief Michael Lyle.

The man was transported to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Melrose police are on the lookout for the hit and run driver.  They have alerted body shops in the area to look closely at any damaged vehicles that may come to their shop for repairs.  Police have not released the name of the injured man and an investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

Two Hit-and-Run Accidents in Danvers on ThursdayWorcester, MA (July 9, 2018) – Police in Worcester responded to a hit and run accident on Saturday afternoon.  The hit and run took place in the 1 block of William Street around 5:00 pm and involved two vehicles.  One vehicle left the scene of the crash before officers could arrive.  The other vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.  One person suffered injuries in the crash.  The extent and severity of the injuries could not be immediately verified as of Monday morning.

Multi-Vehicle Accident Involving Stoughton Police Cruisers Injures OneWorcester, MA (July 9, 2018) – A hit and run in Worcester left at least one person injured on Sunday.  Police responded to a call for a hit and run accident with injuries in the 1 block of McKinley Road.  Upon their arrival, police located one person who was involved in this crash.  The person had sustained injuries in the collision, although the extent of injuries is currently unknown.  After a thorough search, officers were unable to locate the other driver involved.

Worcester police continue to investigate the hit and run under department case number 2018000074893.  Charges are pending against the driver when they are located.  The identity of the injured victim was not immediately made available by police.  No further information was released regarding the crash.

Injury Accident on New Vista LaneWorcester, MA (July 7, 2018) – Worcester police responded to a series of injury accidents on Friday afternoon and evening.  One such accident, a hit and run with injuries, took place in the 1 block of Chandler Street.  Police first received the call around 5:00 pm and it is believed that the accident occurred shortly prior to the call being received.

Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene.  Upon arrival, officers confirmed that one person was injured in the hit and run crash.  A search of the immediate area for the other driver turned up negative.  Police recorded the identifying information of the driver remaining on scene and completed their crash report documenting their observations.  At this time, the crash investigation remains ongoing while officers attempt to locate the other driver.  There is no word on the extent or severity of injuries sustained in the crash.  No other details were immediately available.

Vehicle Accident on Exit 26Worcester, MA (July 7, 2018) – Police in Worcester, Massachusetts received a call on Friday about a possible accident with injuries occurring in the 1 block of Tobias Boland Way.  Upon their arrival to the scene, officers were able to confirm that a crash had just occurred in the area.  One victim was left behind at the crash site suffering from injuries that were sustained in the collision.

Officers requested a medical unit to treat the victim and first aid was administered on scene.  The other individual involved quickly left the scene of the crash before officers could arrive.  Police have been unable to locate this driver as of the time this story is reported.   There is no word on the severity of the injuries sustained in the crash or the identity of those involved.
