Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-91
On May 6, an early morning crash shut down all of the lanes on I-91 South. The lanes were closed for several hours, and this incident occurred on Saturday.

The collision occurred at around 5 in the morning near the ramp at Exit 48. State Police are still looking into the crash. It appears that three different vehicles were involved in this accident. Two of the drivers had to be taken to local hospitals to be treated.

The scene was not cleared until after 9 in the morning.

Man Killed at Worksite Accident in Massachusetts
On May 4, a Pottstown mad died after he fell off a ladder while working as a contract employee. This occurred in Massachusetts on Tuesday.

The victim, Anthony Lyon, 42, was on a ladder at ITW Polymers Adhesives in Danvers. The incident took place at around 8:40 in the morning.

It is not clear at this time what caused his fall.

Update: Man Climbs Aboard School Bus in Massachusetts
This is an update on a story we posted on earlier in the week.

A man who was driving erratically on the Massachusetts Turnpike alarmed other motorists when he stopped abruptly in the middle of a lane and then climbed onto the hood of a bus.

Police say that the man, 42-years-old and from Dorchester, was driving westbound near Exit 16 in Newton. This happened at around 7:30 in the morning on Tuesday.

3 Hurt When Car Crashes into a Furniture Store
Three people were injured after a crash crashed into the side of a furniture store in Boston.

Fire and police officials responded at around 2:30 in the morning on Sunday. They had heard reports of a car slamming into the side of a store.

Officials say they extricated three passengers who were taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Athletic Club Destroyed in Fire
On May 6, an athletic club in Fairhaven was ruined because of a fire.

The Thomas Livesey Memorial Club on Hopkins Street has been declared a total loss after flames started in the building on Sunday at around 4 in the morning.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire. Crews responded, but the building was already fully engulfed in flames.

Motorcyclist Died on I-93 in Boston
A man was killed early in the morning on Sunday after a motorcycle crash in Boston. This information comes from the state police.

Authorities say that cops responded to a crash on Interstate 93, south of exit 13, at around 1 in the morning.

When they arrived they found that Jose Lopes, 49 from Brockton, was traveling north when he lost control of the Suzuki GSXR he was driving. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

3-Alarm Fire in Somerville
On May 5, firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a home in Somerville.

Four Tufts University students were displaced from their home when a fire occurred on Teele Avenue.

Firefighters responded to the scene after they received the report of the incident at around 4 in the afternoon on Saturday. It appears that there were no injuries in connection with this fire.

Men Charged with Setting Vehicles on Fire
Police are looking into several incidents of vandalism that occurred at businesses in Whitman. Two residents set three vehicles on fire on Tuesday morning and then left the scene. They then returned to the scene and spoke to investigators for then arrested them.

Shaun Minnock, 23, and Zachary Ralph, 22, have been arranged in Brockton District Court on three counts of burning a motor vehicle as well as other charges.


Police responded to a report of vehicles on fire at 10 Day Street at around 1 in the morning.

Man in West Boylston Hurt in Motorcycle Accident

A man from West Boylston was injured last evening when the motorcycle he was riding hit a moving vehicle on Grove Street. This happened around 8 in the evening on May 4. This is all that is known about this incident at this time.

Update: 100 Firefighters Battle Chelsea Blaze
This is an update on a story we reported on earlier this week.

More than 100 firefighters, around 150, from North Shore and Boston battled a six-alarm blaze that damaged three triple-deckers. This occurred on Wednesday.

The fighter fights responded to a house located on John Street at around 3:45. The fire spread to two other buildings and displaced 16 residents.
