The Cataldo Ambulance congratulated firefighters who worked on the 6-alarm fire in Chelsea as well as the 2-alarm Somerville fire. Both of these fires occurred on May 3.

Witnesses Heard Bang Before House Went Up in Flames
A fire is being investigated that occurred on Madison Street in Taunton.

According to neighbors, they heard a loud bang then they saw a balcony on fire. This occurred at around 10 at night on Sunday.

The fire chief says there was no explosion, and Taunton firefighting crews were able to put out the fires fairly quickly.

Fire at Methuen Home Under Investigation
Crews responded to the scene of a fire that occurred at a home in Methuen, Massachusetts. This occurred on May 6 at 40 Timber Lane.

Methuen Police posted on their Twitter that there might have been an explosion, but this has not been confirmed yet.

Authorities are asking residents in the area to stay away as crews stay on the scene.

Athletic Club Destroyed in Fire
On May 6, an athletic club in Fairhaven was ruined because of a fire.

The Thomas Livesey Memorial Club on Hopkins Street has been declared a total loss after flames started in the building on Sunday at around 4 in the morning.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire. Crews responded, but the building was already fully engulfed in flames.

3-Alarm Fire in Somerville
On May 5, firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a home in Somerville.

Four Tufts University students were displaced from their home when a fire occurred on Teele Avenue.

Firefighters responded to the scene after they received the report of the incident at around 4 in the afternoon on Saturday. It appears that there were no injuries in connection with this fire.

Update: 100 Firefighters Battle Chelsea Blaze
This is an update on a story we reported on earlier this week.

More than 100 firefighters, around 150, from North Shore and Boston battled a six-alarm blaze that damaged three triple-deckers. This occurred on Wednesday.

The fighter fights responded to a house located on John Street at around 3:45. The fire spread to two other buildings and displaced 16 residents.

Route 395 Closes Because of Fire

On May 3, traffic on Route 395 going northbound in Oxford was closed due to a fire.

Victim of Orange Fire Has Been Identified
On May 2, the identity of a woman killed in a fire in Oran was released. The fire happened on Monday.

The woman who died was Jane Peterson, 79-years-old.

On Monday night, firefighting crews were called to a mobile home at 38 Glenwood Avenue after a neighbor reported the fire.

Fire Investigation in Norfolk County

District 1 Hazmat responded to assist Avon Massachusetts Fire Department with an investigation. This was a Tier 1 response. The crews were dispatched to 40 Ledin Drive and an ambulance was sent to the scene. This occurred at around 9:00 in the morning on May 3.
