Dunkin Donuts attackA woman was waiting for her order in a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru in Worcester when she was suddenly attacked by a couple. The Dunkin Donuts attack happened when the 31-year-old woman was waiting in line and heard a banging noise. The noise came from a man who was using an umbrella to slam into the side of her vehicle. She also spotted a woman with the man.

The victim then exited her vehicle and told them to stop hitting her vehicle. The man approached her and started swinging the umbrella at her. She received a 4-inch cut across her chin at this time. The female suspect started punching her in the head.

Massachusetts police officerA Massachusetts police officer was injured in an early morning car crash. The driver who struck the vehicle was believed to be impaired at the time. The crash occurred between the cruiser and Lexus sedan and happened around 2 a.m. this morning.

There was extensive damage to both vehicles. The police officer had a concussion and some bruises and was transported to the hospital. He is expected to recover. The woman is now facing charges of operating under the influence and failing to stop for a red light. There were passengers in her vehicle at the time.

Jacquelyn PerryThe woman who died in a single-car crash on Interstate 195 in Wareham was identified as 30-year-old Jacquelyn Perry. Perry was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:50 a.m. There were no other passengers in her vehicle at the time.

Perry’s car went out of control as she drove west On I-195. The vehicle went off the left side of the highway and she attempted to correct it. However, she ran back across the highway and over to the right side. The car then rolled over and Perry died at the scene.

Hadley motorcycle accidentA Russell man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a Hadley motorcycle accident involving his bike and another vehicle. The accident happened at the intersection of West Street and North Lane after noon.

The 21-year-old motorcycle rider suffered injuries to his left side. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 59-year-old South Hadley woman. She was cited for failure to yield following the crash. She received minor injuries in the accident.

PVTA bus incidentAn unprovoked PVTA bus incident took place that ended with two passenger’s throats being slashed. The incident happened when 26-year-old Brietta Brown pulled out her knife and started threatening passengers on board a bus. She then slashed two people who didn’t provoke her.

The driver quickly pulled the bus onto Route 9 near a restaurant to try and get the situation under control. He and the passengers wrestled away the weapon and the woman continued to struggle.

26-year-old Nicholas Lombardi was killed in a motorcycle accident in Quincy Point. Lombardi had been traveling on Quincy Avenue aroun 7:30 pm when he lost control of his vehicle. He collided with another car and was thrown from the vehicle. Lombardi’s motorcycle continued and struck another vehicle down the road.

No other injuries were reported and Lombardi died at the hospital from his injuries. It’s suspected the Lombardi was speeding at the time of the crash.

Jacquelyn Perry was killed in a single-car crash on I-195 in Wareham on Tuesday. Massachusetts State Police released the identity Wednesday. Perry was 30 years old when she was killed in her 2001 Honda Civic. As the vehicle veered off the highway, Perry overcorrected and the car rolled over into the woods. Perry was killed at the scene and was the sole death. No other injuries were reported

32-year-old Edgar Diaz is being held on $7,500 bail after running through a stop sign and hitting a young toddler with his pickup truck. The young toddler suffered a broken leg from the accident on the corner of Massasoit Street. The child’s mother, Caren Ventura, was at the scene of the accident.

Diaz fled the scene on foot but was restrained by a group of women before police arrived. The street is known to have a speeding issue, and police say there have been several accidents on the street since January 2017, three of which resulted in injuries.

Train Strikes and Kills 25-year-old Joseph A. Cerrato, III in Middleboro

A call was received Tuesday night, April 1, 2018, that a pedestrian man was struck by a SB MBTA commuter train.  The accident happened around 7:55 pm near the Middleboro/Lakeville stop just after the Bridgewater stop.  This is west of Everett Street, near Route 44.

Middleboro police and fire departments responded to the call.  When they arrived, they discovered the man had been killed by the impact.  The crash scene was about half a mile long.

Injury Crash in Charlton as Car Collides with RV

748825_crash_car-300x242Early Tuesday evening, May 1, 2018, a car and RV collided causing injuries to the driver of the vehicle.  The accident happened around 6:00 pm at a business off of Route 20.

Both the car and the RV caught on fire immediately upon impact.  Charlton Police state the accident was in the parking lot of O’Malley’s Truck & Auto Body.  Preliminary investigations show that the car was travelling through the parking lot when it struck the stationary RV.
