images-1-8Wareham, MA (July 10, 2018) – A Monday evening rollover collision on in Wareham left three people injured.  The crash took place just before 6:00 pm at 271 Plymouth Avenue.   Wareham police, along with the Wareham Fire Department and EMS responded quickly to the crash site, according to emergency broadcast reports.  There were two cars involved in this crash.  The force of the collision left one of the vehicles lying on its roof in the roadway when officials arrived on scene.  There is no word as of Tuesday morning on what might have caused the vehicles to collide with one another.

Two people were transported by ambulance to Tobey Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  There is no word on the condition of the injured victims or the extent of injuries sustained.   Police are still investigating and there are no additional details available at this time.

images-1-7Wareham, MA (July 5, 2018) – Wareham police were busy responding to crashes across the area on Thursday.  In total, police responded to four crashes within an hour. One accident occurred in the 3000 block of Cranberry Highway just after 9:30 am.  Two vehicles were involved in this crash.  One person suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital with injuries.

It is not known how the crash occurred, however Wareham police cited one driver with operating a vehicle on a suspended license.  Police are still investigating the crash and there is no additional information available at this time.

download-3-4Wareham, MA (July 5, 2018) – A Thursday morning rollover crash left three men in Wareham, Massachusetts seriously injured.  The crash happened at approximately 9:38 am in the southbound lanes of Interstate 495.  The men, who were all traveling in a pickup truck, were transported to nearby hospitals.  One of the men has sustained life-threatening injuries while the other two sustained serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The truck ended up off the side of the roadway and eventually struck a tree before coming to rest. It then caught fire with the men still inside.  The Jaws of Life were used to eventually extricate all three men from the truck.  The Wareham Police, Middleboro Police and Massachusetts State Police all responded to the crash and assisted with the subsequent investigation.  Traffic was snarled around the accident scene for a substantial time as police investigated the crash.

Jacquelyn PerryThe woman who died in a single-car crash on Interstate 195 in Wareham was identified as 30-year-old Jacquelyn Perry. Perry was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:50 a.m. There were no other passengers in her vehicle at the time.

Perry’s car went out of control as she drove west On I-195. The vehicle went off the left side of the highway and she attempted to correct it. However, she ran back across the highway and over to the right side. The car then rolled over and Perry died at the scene.

A Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Officer was struck Wednesday night, April 11, 2018, by a driver under the influence. The DNR officer had responded to a call regarding a lost seal. The seal was spotted near Onset Avenue.Wareham DUI OUI Accident

The DNR officer was not injured in the crash, but the driver who was under the influence and struck the DNR officer was treated by Wareham EMS workers who then took the driver to local area Tobey Hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries. The extent of the driver’s injuries has not been released. He is being charged with operating while under the influence, as well as other charges.

The Wareham DNR driver had his warning lights flashing while he was sitting in his truck on Onset Avenue. He was trying to find a seal that had previously been seen nearby. The driver of the other vehicle struck the truck while attempting to drive past.
