Hatfield, MA – Three Car Crash Reported on I-91

Hatfield, MA (July 12, 2018) – A three vehicle crash in Hatfield, Massachusetts was reported to police on Wednesday afternoon. The call came in around 4:05 pm concerning three cars involved in a wreck on northbound Interstate 91, near the Chestnut Street overpass.

Massachusetts State Police responded to the accident call. Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene upon reports of injuries suffered in the crash. Several people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries. Traffic was slowed for at least two miles coming from the site of the accident in the northbound lanes. The southbound side also experienced issues due to onlooker delays.

Massachusetts State Police are still investigating and have released no further details regarding the accident as of Thursday morning.

Bridgewater, MA – Three Car Crash Sends Multiple People to Hospital

Bridgewater, MA (July 12, 2018) – A three car crash in Bridgewater on Wednesday afternoon sent multiple people to the hospital. Bridgewater police and fire officials responded to a call regarding an accident on Pleasant Street around 3:20 pm. Three cars were involved in this crash: a white Toyota, a gray Nissan Pathfinder and a black Jeep. The black Jeep rolled over in the crash and was lying upside down on its hood when officers arrived on scene.

Initially, a medical helicopter was requested to transport injured victims but it was later called off. The victims were eventually transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Witnesses reported car parts littering the street at the scene of the crash. The road was completely closed until approximately 4:00 pm when one lane was re-opened for traffic.

The cause of the crash as well as the condition of the victims remains unknown at this time as the police investigation is still ongoing.

East Bridgewater, MA – Police Respond to Second Accident at Same Intersection

East Bridgewater, MA (July 12, 2018) – Police in East Bridgewater responded to a second accident in two days at the intersection of Plymouth and Washington Streets. On Wednesday, officers were called to the location because of a crash between an SUV and a tractor trailer just before 9:00 am. The SUV driver suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The tractor trailer driver escaped the crash uninjured. Police have not released any additional details about the crash.

This site was the location of another accident that took place on Tuesday involving a dump truck and a passenger vehicles. Some community leaders are now questioning the safety of the intersection. Fire Chief Timothy Harwin and Police Chief Scott Allen both say they have been in contact with local town officials to explore solutions to the safety issues presented by the intersection. They both say they have seen an increased number of crashes and injuries at this location and the two accidents this week have only furthered their concerns.

Grafton, MA – Man in Fatal Turnpike Crash Identified

Grafton, MA (July 11, 2018) – A man was killed in a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike Tuesday. We previously reported on this story involving a car and a tractor trailer accident in Grafton. The car crashed into the back of a disabled tractor trailer and was forced underneath the truck. When police arrived on scene the car was still stuck underneath the tractor trailer. The driver of the car, a white Ford Fusion, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have identified the driver of the Fusion as Joshua Glynn. Glynn is a 32 year old resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The truck driver has been identified only as a 45 year old Florida man. The truck driver was not hurt in the crash. The crash caused major delays on the highway and a complete shut down of the right travel lave while police were on scene.

The crash remains under investigation Wednesday evening.

Boston, MA – Driver Dies After Colliding with Tractor-Trailer

Boston, MA (July 11, 2018) – A driver died after colliding with a tractor-trailer in Boston on Wednesday. The driver, who was operating a 2015 Nissan Rogue, was exiting the Massachusetts Turnpike when he collided with the tractor-trailer on exit 25. Massachusetts State Police along with EMS responded to the crash scene. The driver was transported to Tufts Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin. State Police continue to investigate the fatal collision as of Wednesday evening. No charges were filed in the aftermath of the accident. There is no additional information currently available.

Worcester, MA – Injury Crash on Irving Street

Worcester, MA (July 11, 2018) – An injury accident was reported on Irving Street in Worcester around 8:00 am on Tuesday. Worcester police responded to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival, officers discovered an accident with injuries at this location. All involved in the crash were on scene to speak with officers when they arrived. Police conducted an investigation into the crash and cleared away the scene so as not to delay traffic.

Marlborough, MA – Multi Car Crash with Injuries Wednesday Morning

Marlborough, MA (July 11, 2018) – Police in Marlborough, Massachusetts responded to an accident scene along I-290 Wednesday morning. The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the roadway, at exit 26. Police and emergency officials received a call around 7:45 am Wednesday regarding a multiple vehicle accident with injuries. First responders came to the crash site and discovered at least one injury had been sustained in this wreck.

New Bedford, MA – Tuesday Morning Crash with Injuries

New Bedford, MA (July 11, 2018) – Tuesday morning commuters in New Bedford received an unpleasant surprise when they encountered a multi-vehicle accident around 9:00 am on I-195. The accident took place in the westbound travel lanes of the highway, near exit 15. Two vehicles were involved in this crash and injuries were reported. The extent and condition of those injured is not known as of Wednesday morning.

Saugus, MA – Crash Snarls Traffic in Route 1, Causes Injuries

Saugus, MA (July 11, 2018) – A crash in Saugus, Massachusetts caused injuries and delays for travelers on the Tuesday afternoon commute. Police first received a call around 4:00 pm regarding a crash in the northbound lanes of Route 1, near Essex Street. The caller referenced possible injury and also requested that an ambulance respond the scene.

Police and emergency officials responded shortly after the call came in. Upon arrival, they discovered an accident with injuries. One person was treated on scene for their injuries. Salem, MA – Injury Accident Reported on Marlborough Road

Salem, MA (July 11, 2018) – A two car accident in Salem, Massachusetts on Monday resulted in injuries to at least one driver. The accident happened at 192 Marlborough Road at approximately 4:00. Salem Police responded to the scene and began investigating the crash.

Fire and EMS units also responded to the accident. One person suffered injuries. The person was treated on scene before being transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
