Boston, MA – Driver Dies After Colliding with Tractor-Trailer

Boston, MA (July 11, 2018) – A driver died after colliding with a tractor-trailer in Boston on Wednesday. The driver, who was operating a 2015 Nissan Rogue, was exiting the Massachusetts Turnpike when he collided with the tractor-trailer on exit 25. Massachusetts State Police along with EMS responded to the crash scene. The driver was transported to Tufts Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin. State Police continue to investigate the fatal collision as of Wednesday evening. No charges were filed in the aftermath of the accident. There is no additional information currently available.

East Bridgewater, MA – Four Injured in Dump Truck Crash

East Bridgewater, MA (July 10, 2018) – A violent crash between a dump truck and pickup left four people, including two children, with injuries Tuesday in East Bridgewater. The crash happened Tuesday morning just after 11:00 am at Plymouth and Washington Streets. The force of the collision caused the dump truck to flip onto its side. The pickup truck was severely damaged, with its axle lying in the roadway.

Nearby Good Samaritans assisted the injured victims prior to police and rescue workers arriving on scene. The Good Samaritans assisted people out of their vehicles. Firefighters then arrived and took over providing first aid. Two children, ages 5 and 7, were transported via ambulance to South Shore Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. A 40 year old man from Weymouth was transported to a hospital with chest, neck and leg injuries. A 60 year old Halifax man was transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

The road remained closed for about two hours and was re-opened around 1:30 pm. East Bridgewater police and fire officials investigated the crash. The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

Lincoln Street Accident With Injuries

A motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported to Worcester Police on Sunday around 6:00 pm. The accident took place in the 400 block of Lincoln Street. Worcester officers on duty responded to the scene shortly after receiving the call. They located the vehicles involved in the crash. Other units also responded. Medical treatment was administered to the injured victims as police worked to obtain the details of the crash.

The cause of this accident remains unknown. Police will consider a number of factors, including speeding, reckless driving, failure to yield and inattention as the work to determine who is at fault for the crash. In the meantime, we hope for a speedy recovery for those injured in the collision. There is no immediate word on the nature of injuries sustained or the drivers involved in this crash. Two Car Accident with Injuries in Holyoke

A two car accident took place in Holyoke, Massachusetts on Friday evening. The crash happened at Northampton and Beech Streets. Around 9:00 pm Holyoke police were called out to the accident scene in response to a crash with injuries. When they arrived, police found one vehicle damaged and missing its passenger wheel. The wheel was later located on a nearby sidewalk.

In addition to police, ambulance and Holyoke fire department personnel also arrived at the scene shortly after the crash occurred. The injured victims were given treatment at the crash scene. There is not an indication given at this time that the injuries sustained are life-threatening. This crash investigation remains active and the scene is still being investigated by Holyoke Police. More details will be provided regarding this accident should they become available.
