3 Dead in Armored Truck Collision

On May 3, police say three people died in a collision that occurred between a car and an armored truck that is used to move cash.

Plainfield Police Chief Paul Roberts said that three people were in a four-door sedan. They all died in a collision with the truck. This occurred on Route 12A near a railroad crossing. The police also say that it appears the northbound sedan crossed the line and put themselves in the path of the truck.

The condition of the two people in the armored truck wasn’t known.

1 Killed in Rehoboth Crash

Authorities are looking into a crash that killed one person early in the morning of May 4 in Rehoboth. The fiery crash occurred on Fall River Avenue at around 1:25 in the morning.

The initial investigation has determined that a vehicle was going eastbound and went through the parking lot of a business and hit into a parked tractor-trailer. This caused both of the vehicles to burst into flames. This information comes from the Rehoboth police.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. There were not any other injuries.

1 Injured in Rollover Crash on UMass Campus

On May 4, at least one person was severely injured in a rollover crash that happened early in the day at the campus of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

The incident occurred at around 4:30 in the morning on East Campus Road. This road has a speed limit of 15 mph.

A witness said that the car was flying down the road.

Car Accident on Massachusetts Turnpike Injures 5

In April, five people were hurt when two vehicles were involved in a crash on Mike Pike on Sunday morning.

The state police say that the crash happened at around 4:40 in the morning near the Allston tolls on the eastbound side.

Two of those injured had to be taken to Boston Medical Center and two others were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. The last victim was taken to Tufts Medical Center. It is not known how severe their injuries were.

Crash on I-93N

Three lanes of I-93N were closed just after exit 41 because of a vehicle crash. This happened at around 12:40 in the afternoon in Wilmington.

Crash on Forest Street Leaves Two Injured

A pedestrian crash on Forest street injured two people. Needham DPW workers were filling potholes near the Wellesley line when they were struck by a car. The accident occurred around 1:45 pm. Both workers were transported to local hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident caused traffic delays throughout the area, with parts of Forest Street closed, and the crash remains under police investigation.

Nicholas Lombardi Killed in Motorcycle Crash

26-year-old Nicholas Lombardi was killed in a motorcycle accident in Quincy Point. Lombardi had been traveling on Quincy Avenue aroun 7:30 pm when he lost control of his vehicle. He collided with another car and was thrown from the vehicle. Lombardi’s motorcycle continued and struck another vehicle down the road.

No other injuries were reported and Lombardi died at the hospital from his injuries. It’s suspected the Lombardi was speeding at the time of the crash.

Jacquelyn Perry Killed in Single-Car Crash

Jacquelyn Perry was killed in a single-car crash on I-195 in Wareham on Tuesday. Massachusetts State Police released the identity Wednesday. Perry was 30 years old when she was killed in her 2001 Honda Civic. As the vehicle veered off the highway, Perry overcorrected and the car rolled over into the woods. Perry was killed at the scene and was the sole death. No other injuries were reported

Toddler Suffers Broken Leg in Hit and Run

32-year-old Edgar Diaz is being held on $7,500 bail after running through a stop sign and hitting a young toddler with his pickup truck. The young toddler suffered a broken leg from the accident on the corner of Massasoit Street. The child’s mother, Caren Ventura, was at the scene of the accident.

Diaz fled the scene on foot but was restrained by a group of women before police arrived. The street is known to have a speeding issue, and police say there have been several accidents on the street since January 2017, three of which resulted in injuries.

Patrice Vanleer Identified as Woman Killed by Car Pinning Her Against Building

The female victim of Sunday’s pedestrian car accident against a building has been identified as Patrice Vanleer.

Her husband exited their apartment to observe a car accident he had just heard, which occurred just a few feet from the building. He discovered that it was his wife that was injured in the crash. The vehicle pinned her against the building wall.

Patrice Valeer was 32-years-old and died at the hospital a day later, on Saturday April 22. The accident happened in Brockton at about 9 p.m.
