Lynn, MA – Injury Accident at 525 Lynnway

Lynn, MA (July 14, 2018) – Police in Lynn responded to the Gulf Express at 525 Lynnway in reference to a motor vehicle crash on Thursday. The initial call requesting officer assistance was received at police headquarters at 9:07 am. The caller referenced a crash with injuries at the location. A police unit, along with fire and EMS were dispatched to the accident scene. Unfortunately, at least one person was injured in the crash though details of the injuries are limited.

Police remained on scene for a period of time clearing the road and conducting their crash investigation. Although an investigation was conducted, the results have not yet been released and there is no word on the cause of the collision or whether any citations were issued in the crash. Sandwich, MA – Rollover Crash on Route 6 Injures One

Sandwich, MA (July 14, 2018) – A Thursday afternoon rollover crash in Sandwich left one person injured. The crash took place just before noon, near exits 3 and 4. Sandwich police, along with the Sandwich Fire Department and EMS responded quickly to the crash site, according to emergency broadcast reports. There were two cars involved in this crash. There is no word as of Saturday morning on what might have caused the vehicles to collide with one another.

One person was transported by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of their injuries. There is no word on the condition of the injured victims or the extent of injuries sustained. Police are still investigating and there are no additional details available at this time.

Milford, MA – Woman Celebrating Her Birthday Dies in Friday Morning Crash

Milford, MA (July 14, 2018) – A woman in Milford celebrating her birthday was killed in a crash on Interstate 95 early Friday morning. 22 year old Stephanie Boaventura was traveling in a 2010 Toyota Corolla when, for an unknown reason, her car left the roadway. After leaving the roadway, she attempted to correct the car’s path back onto the road. In the process, her car veered to the left and struck a guardrail.

Police, along with ambulance units, rushed to the crash scene upon receiving reports of a serious accident with injuries. Boaventura was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. She had been out with friends celebrating her 22nd birthday and was on her way home when the crash occurred.

Police are looking into the accident at this time. As of Saturday, there is no word on the cause of the collision or what may have caused Boaventura to lose control of her vehicle.

Concord, MA – Crash On Route 2 Eastbound

Concord, MA (July 13, 2018) – A two car crash was reported in Concord on Friday morning. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 2 and took place just after 9:00 am, at the end of the morning rush hour. Police were called to the scene in reference to an accident involving multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, police discovered that the crash did involve multiple vehicles and that injuries had also occurred as a result of the accident.

A medical team, along with police and fire department officials responded to the accident. The injured victims received treatment at the scene and were later transported by ambulance to area hospitals. Police in Concord have not released information on the victims at this time, including their names or the nature and extent of their injuries.

Traffic in the area was heavily affected by this crash and was backed up for several miles while police worked to clear the accident scene. Residual delays were experienced after the scene was clear.

Boston, MA- Multi Vehicle Crash Involving School Bus in Ted Williams Tunnel

Boston, MA (July 13, 2018) – At least six people were hurt Friday when a school bus and several cars were involved in an accident in the Ted Williams Tunnel. Troopers with the Massachusetts State Police responded to the westbound lanes of the tunnel in reference to a report of an accident involving several vehicles. There is no definitive word on the exact number of vehicles involved in the accident.

Several people were taken to area hospitals with injuries. The injuries ranged in nature from minor to serious. It is not clear whether any life-threatening injuries were suffered. Officials confirmed that no one on the school bus was injured. The westbound lanes of the Tunnel were closed while police investigated the crash. Police have not released any additional details regarding the crash at this time.

Cambridge, MA – Man Injured in Hit and Run on Massachusetts Avenue

Cambridge, MA (July 13, 2018) – A Cambridge man was hurt in a hit and run that took place along Massachusetts Avenue on Wednesday. Cambridge Police were called to the Central Square area in reference to a hit and run on Wednesday just after 10:00 pm. Once on scene, they discovered that a man had been hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene shortly after hitting the man and was not present when police arrived to investigate.

The man was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries sustained in the incident. Police have been unable to locate the hit and run driver as of Friday. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing and the hit and run driver is expected to be charged once they are apprehended.

Saugus, MA – Crash at Lynn Fells Parkway on Route 1

Saugus, MA (July 13, 2018) – Police in Saugus, Massachusetts responded to a crash with injuries along Route 1 on Thursday morning. The accident occurred on Lynn Fells Parkway just after 8:00 am and involved multiple vehicles. Authorities reported that injuries were sustained in this crash. Medical personnel arrived on scene, along with police and fire officials. The injured victims were provided with medical treatment for their injuries. At this time, there is no information on the severity or extent of injuries suffered in the accident.

The southbound lanes of Route 1 experienced heavy delays leading to the accident scene as police worked on site to investigate the crash and clear the roadway for motorists. Traffic was backed up for miles, all the way to nearby Lynnfield. Officers remained at the scene for about an hour. Residual delays were experienced after the crash was cleared.

The accident remains under investigation with Saugus Police on Friday morning.

Norwood, MA – Multi Vehicle Crash on I-95 with Injuries

Norwood, MA (July 13, 2018) – Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash that occurred in the left hand lanes of I-95 in Norwood Friday morning. The accident happened just before 7:00 am on I-95 north, near exit 11 at Neponset Street. The crash blocked both the travel lanes as well as the breakdown lane of the roadway, leaving only one lane for traffic to get by. Predictably, the crash caused major delays on the highway at one of the busiest travel times of the day.

An ambulance was on scene to treat those injured in the crash. The vehicles involved sustained heavy property damage as a result of the collision, however, the extent of injuries remains unknown at this time. Franklin, MA – Two Car Crash on I-495

Franklin, MA (July 13, 2018) – A two car crash on I-495 in Franklin caused injuries and left motorists experiencing major delays along their Friday morning commute. The accident was first reported around 6:30 am in the northbound lanes of the highway, just before exit 17. Two vehicles were involved in the crash. Although it is not clear how the vehicles collided, one car was in the breakdown lane of the roadway while the other was stranded in the median.

An ambulance was on scene to assist the accident victims but there is no word on the extent of injuries at this time. Traffic experienced extremely heavy delays in the northbound lanes of 495 while police and other personnel worked to clear the accident scene. Onlooker delays from the other side of the roadway are also expected with the crash.

Pittsfield, MA- Biker Seriously Injured in Crash on Route 8

Pittsfield, MA (July 13, 2018) – A motorcyclist from New Hampshire suffered serious injuries on Thursday after a collision with a pickup truck on Route 8, near Cheshire Road. Pittsfield police have identified the motorcyclist as Cassius Bradford of Stamford, NH. Bradford was traveling north on Route 8 around 1:30 pm when he encountered a Ford pickup truck attempting to make a left turn out of a local business. The truck and motorcycle collided in the roadway. The truck driver has been identified by police as 56 year old John Bailey of Cheshire.

An ambulance transported Bradford to Berkshire Medical Center with arm and leg injuries. Although they are serious, Bradford’s injuries do not appear life-threatening according to police. Officer David Hallas of the Berkshire Police Department investigated the crash along with the Pittsfield Police Department, Lanesborough Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.

Police are still investigating the crash and have asked for anyone with further information or who may have witnessed the crash to come forward in order to assist the investigation.
