download-4-3Worcester, MA (June 26, 2018) – Worcester police stayed busy on Monday afternoon responding to a rash of injury accidents across the city.  This continues an unfortunate trend of accidents which began over the weekend and has spilled into the beginning of the week.

On Monday, June 25th at around 11:00 am police received a call concerning a possible accident with injuries in in the 1 block of Madison Street.  Several officers responded to the scene in reference to the call.  Once they arrived, they located a crash with injuries, as described by the caller.  The cause of the crash is unknown.   EMS also responded to the scene in order to treat the injured victims.  Information regarding the severity of injuries has not been given by police.  The crash is still under investigation at this time.

Car Accident on Route 495 SouthboundWorcester, MA (June 26, 2018) – Police in Worcester, Massachusetts received a report of an accident involving injuries on Monday afternoon.  The call came in to police around 1:00 pm with details of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries in the 200 block of Chandler Street.  After receiving the call, Worcester police officers responded to the scene of the accident.  When they arrived, officers verified that at least one driver had been injured in this crash.  As a result of the injuries, medical personnel also arrived on the scene to administer treatment.

There is no word at this time on the severity of the injuries sustained or whether the injured victims were transported to a hospital to receive treatment.  As any further details are made available, we will bring them to you.  The cause of this crash is still under investigation by the Worcester police department.

images-1North Attleborough, MA (June 26, 2018) – A Tuesday morning crash in North Attleborough caused major problems for motorists along I-295, near exit 2. The crash was reported to police just after 7:00 am, involving multiple vehicles in the left travel lane of the highway.  Police were on scene along with medical personnel to provide aid to the victims.  Unfortunately, there are reports of injuries coming out of this crash.

Traffic slowed down to a crawl around the accident site as at least one lane was blocked while the crash was cleared away by police.  Motorists were forced to detour around the left hand travel lanes to get to their destinations.

Accident with Injury on Expressway NorthWestminster, MA (June 26, 2018) – A three car crash occurred Tuesday morning on Route 2 in Westminster, Massachusetts.  The accident, which occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway, happened around 6:30 am.  Police in Westminster responded to the accident scene.  At least one person sustained injuries in this crash.  The accident happened in the travel lanes of the highway, resulting in lane closures while police investigated.

Motorists traveling through this area experienced very heavy delays approaching the accident site.  The police investigation remains ongoing.  There is no indication on the conditions of anyone injured in this crash or the cause for the crash.  Police have not stated whether anyone will be charged for their role in causing the collision.

Ludlow head-on collision serious injuriesLawrence, MA (June 26, 2018) – A crash in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Monday morning June 25th left at least one person with injuries.  The crash happened outside the city on I-495 at exit 42 just after 8:00 am as motorists were making their way into work.  The crash, which involved multiple vehicles, caused major problems for traffic in the southbound lanes of 495.  The left hand travel lane was blocked by damaged vehicles while police worked quickly to clear away the accident scene so that traffic could begin moving again.

There were injuries reported in this accident, however, the extent of the injuries are unknown.  Police did not classify the injuries as either serious or life-threatening and we are hoping that all involved escaped with minor injuries. Authorities were on the scene for approximately an hour.  Motorists experienced heavy residual delays after the clearing of the crash scene.  The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

triple car accident hit and run BrocktonChelsea, MA (June 26, 2018) – A two car crash occurred in Chelsea, Massachusetts on Tuesday morning, leaving at least one of the victims injured.  The crash happened just prior to 6:00 am on Revere Beach Parkway, just before Union Street.  That is where police report that two vehicles traveling on Route 16 collided with one another.  The cause of the collision remains unknown at this time.

Police responded to the scene, which had major traffic delays because of the crash.  There, they determined that at least one of the individuals involved in the crash had suffered injuries.  Medical treatment was requested and given at the scene.  We do not have current word on the condition of those injured but will bring it to you if any further updates are provided by police.  This crash remains active and under police investigation at this time.

cars_on_highway-300x225Boston, MA (June 26, 2018) – Several injuries were reported to Massachusetts State Police in a three car accident that took place Monday on I-93.  The crash occurred just prior to 3:00 pm in the southbound lanes of the highway prior to exit 24.  In all, five cars were involved in the crash.

Boston police say that a 27 year old from Lowell, and his 29 year old passenger in a 2011 Kia Sportage were transported to Tufts Medical Center.  Additionally, a 27 year old New Jersey woman in an Audi A3 was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.  None of the others involved in the accident were injured.

State Police Sergeant Sullivan said that the accident is still under investigation by their agency.  Sullivan did not provide a cause for the crash or an update on the injured victims.  The crash was cleared and the roadway was opened back to motorists by 5:00 pm.

Update:  Motorcycle Crash Kills OneChelmsford, MA (June 26, 2018) – A motorcycle accident on I-495 Monday injured two people in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.  The accident took place just north of Route 3.  Police arrived on scene to find two people injured in the accident.  Their injuries are described by authorities as serious.  Both injured victims received treatment on the scene before being transported to a local hospital for additional treatment.  A medical helicopter transported at least one of the victims.

The seriousness of the wreck caused major slowdowns for traffic in the area.  Both sides of I-495 were closed while the wreck was investigated and cleared by authorities.  As a result, delays extended for miles from the accident scene.  The roadway was finally re-opened around 5:00 pm.

There is no word on the condition of the injured victims and it is not known if any life-threatening injuries were suffered in this accident.  Chelmsford police continue to investigate.

Vehicle Accident on Harvard StreetBoxford, MA (June 25, 2018) – Three people, including two children, were seriously injured on Monday morning in Boxford Massachusetts.  The crash happened along Route 97.  The weather at the time was rainy and the roadway was wet.  Police say that a female driver and two children were traveling on Route 97 in a small compact vehicle when the vehicle departed the roadway and struck a tree off the right side of the road.

Boxford police and medical personnel responded to the scene of the collision.  All three accident victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.  The injuries are classified at this time as being serious in nature, however, there is no word on whether they are considered life-threatening.  Police did not identify either the female driver or the children involved in the crash.  The investigation remains ongoing.
