images-1-3Boston, MA (July 11, 2018) – A driver died after colliding with a tractor-trailer in Boston on Wednesday.  The driver, who was operating a 2015 Nissan Rogue, was exiting the Massachusetts Turnpike when he collided with the tractor-trailer on exit 25.  Massachusetts State Police along with EMS responded to the crash scene.  The driver was transported to Tufts Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.  State Police continue to investigate the fatal collision as of Wednesday evening.  No charges were filed in the aftermath of the accident.  There is no additional information currently available.

Bike Accident on Congress StreetBeverly, MA (July 11, 2018) – A car and motorcycle collided in Beverly, Massachusetts Tuesday, leaving the motorcyclist hospitalized with injuries.

The crash occurred at Herrick Street and Sohier Road, around 1:25 pm.  At that time, a motorcyclist was traveling behind a Toyota passenger vehicle.  The Toyota attempted to turn left into a driveway.  The motorcyclist collided with the right side of the Toyota and the motorcycle toppled over into the roadway.

Two police units, along with fire and ambulance crews arrived on the accident scene.  The motorcyclist was injured in the crash.  He was transported to Beverly Hospital with a neck injury.  His condition is unknown at this time.  The Toyota driver was not hurt.  Police are still investigating the crash at this time.

man seriously injuredLynn, MA (July 10, 2018) – Police in Lynn, Massachusetts report a car accident with injuries that occurred on Monday morning.  At 10:26 am, officers with the Lynn Police Department were dispatched in reference to an accident with injuries at 376 Washington Street.   There was at least one person injured in this accident.

Police are actively investigating the cause of the collision but have released no details on how it occurred or the sequence of events that led to the crash.  The injured person was treated on scene by paramedics and no additional details regarding the extent or severity of the injuries are available at this time.  Police cleared the roadway and traffic flow around the area was moving freely by noon.  No other details regarding the crash are available at this time.

download-6-3Brewster, MA (July 8, 2018) – A car and a scooter collided with one another on Sunday morning in Brewster, Massachusetts leaving one person injured.  The accident took place around 11:30 am on Main Street, just east of Nickerson State Park.  There were two people on the scooter at the time of the collision.  One of the scooter passengers was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries.  Police are still investigating the accident as of Sunday afternoon.

At this time, there is no word on what caused the accident or the identities of those involved.  No additional details about the accident have been released.

download-6Worcester, MA (July 5, 2018) – An accident with personal injuries occurred in Worcester on Wednesday.  The accident happened around 9:00 pm between two vehicles traveling on Barclay Street.  Worcester police arrived on scene to investigate the crash.  It is not clear at this time what caused the accident.  Officers discovered that they accident involved injury to one driver and called for an ambulance to respond to the scene and administer medical treatment. Paramedics treated one person on the scene for their injuries.

Traffic on Barclay Street was momentarily delayed while officers investigated and cleared the crash.  There is no update on the condition of the injured victim.  Police continue to investigate the accident and have not identified the drivers.  No charges were issued on Wednesday and it is not clear whether charges will be issued at a later date.

Accident on Massachusetts Turnpike Injures Ludlow WomanWorcester, MA (July 5, 2018) – An elderly couple from Worcester died in a July 4th crash.  The crash happened Wednesday afternoon around 2:45 pm at Berry Road.  Officers responding to the scene found the couple, an 87 year old man and an 82 year old woman, trapped inside their vehicle.  An ambulance rushed the couple to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported seeing a 2011 Camry traveling on Lynnwood Lane before running through a stop sign and crashing into a boulder, apparently without slowing down.  The vehicle was observed to be traveling in the wrong direction on the opposite side of the road just before the crash.

There is no word on what caused the crash to occur.  Authorities are still investigating all possibilities and have not ruled out any potential causes at this time.  The deceased couple has not been identified.

Accident on Concord StreetWorcester, MA (July 3, 2018) – Police in Worcseter, Massachusetts were busy late Monday night responding to an injury accident in the 1 block of Harvard Street.  This accident occurred at 11:00 pm.  Police received the call shortly after 11 and went to the scene promptly to investigate.

Unfortunately, upon their arrival, officers discovered injuries caused by the crash.  Given this information, a medical unit was also called in to treat the crash victim. Medical treatment was administered on scene but there is no word on what, if any, additional medical treatment was necessary.

All of those involved in this crash remained at the scene to cooperate with the subsequent police investigation.  Police are still looking into what caused the crash and have not released further information as of Tuesday morning.

Accident on Route 1 NorthWorcester, MA (July 3, 2018) – Grafton Street in Worcester was the site of yet another injury accident on Monday afternoon.  This time, police were called to the 500 block of Grafton at 3:00 pm in reference to an accident with injuries.

At least one person suffered injuries in this crash.  The injured person was treated by medical workers on scene.  There is no immediate word on their condition at this time.   The injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening in nature.  Traffic on Grafton was delayed for some time as police investigated the crash.

Officers are working to determine what caused the accident.  They are analyzing evidence from the scene, including witness statements and photographs.  An official cause of the crash has not been released at this time, pending the results of the police investigation.  No other details about this accident were made available by police.

Crash on I-93 SouthboundBoston, MA (June 30, 2018) – A crash on Friday morning resulted in injuries to at least one person.  The accident took place mid-morning, around 10:30 am.  Officer Paul Sheehan of the Boston Police Department was the first officer to arrive on scene.  Officer Sheehan was assigned to complete the subsequent crash investigation.

Unfortunately, there are reports that at least one person was injured in this crash although it is not known at this time whether the injuries are serious or life-threatening.  A cause for the crash has not been determined nor have officers determined who may be at fault.  Police will consider a variety of factors when concluding their investigation such as whether one driver was speeding, inattentive, failed to comply with traffic signals or was otherwise negligent in causing the crash.  Depending on the outcome of the investigation and the facts surrounding this crash, the injured victim could have a claim for personal injuries against the other driver.

Hit-and-Run Accident on Pilgrim AvenueCambridge, MA (June 27, 2018) – Cambridge was the site of a two car collision on Tuesday morning.  Officers with the Cambridge Police Department responded to an accident scene at Cambridge Street around 9:50 am.  While on scene, officers located two vehicles that had just been involved in a collision at the location.  There were injuries sustained in the crash but they are not life-threatening.

Cambridge police have not said how the accident occurred, however, they did charge 37 year old Mirian Dos Santos with operating a motor vehicle without a license.  Dos Santos was also cited for unsafe operation based on witness statements at the scene that she was using a cell phone at the time of the crash.  There is no word on the current condition of the injured driver.
