Update: One Dies in Swansea Crash

More details are now known about the accident in Swansea that caused the death of one person.
The victim was a 38-year-old man from Cranston, Rhode Island. The jeep he was driving in became completely engulfed in flames because of the accident.
Troopers responded to the crash at around 2 in the morning. It is not known at this time if the driver who caused the accident was injured.
Fatal Rollover Occurs in Swansea

A 38-year-old man is dead after a crash that occurred on I-195.
The Massachusetts State Police say that a 2012 Volkswagen was going easy, when the driver, a 40-year-old woman, lost control. She crossed the median and struck a vehicle that was going west.
The other vehicle was a 2003 Jeep Liberty. It rolled over and became engulfed in flames with the driver still inside. The driver has not been identified because his family has not been notified.
I-93 Traffic Delayed Because of Rollover Crash

On May 9, a rollover accident caused massive delays on I-93. The accident was cleared, but heavy traffic was in the area for a long time after.
The rollover happened just past I-95 in the Woburn area. The delays stretched back to the O’Neill Tunnel. The left three lanes going northbound were blocked.
The specifics of this accident are not known at this time. It is not clear if anyone was injured in this accident.
2 Women Charged in Connection to Found Burned Body

Two women are facing charges connected to the death of a man. The man’s burned body was found in an empty field. Alondra Gil and Mercedes Diaz-Wright, both 22, have been arraigned on charges including perjury.
The women allegedly misled police officers.
The body of the man, Daniel Cruz, 44, was round in a field in March.
Police Arrest Man in Connection with Stabbing in Chelsea
Police have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing of a waitress in Chelsea that happened this last Monday night.
Authorities say they have arrested Gerardo Reyes Menjivar, 36. He was taken into custody in Beltsville on Thursday morning and is facing multiple charges.
Chelsea Police Chief Brian Kyes issued a statement that praised the work of the officers.
Firefighters Respond to Fire at Factory

Holyoke firefighters responded to a fire early Thursday. The fire started in a paint booth inside a factor on North Bridge Street. The fire then spread to the roof.
The blaze at International Container Co. was reported at around 4 in the morning.
The fire was quickly put out from inside the building. The spray booth has a sprinkler system that was activated.
Gas Leak Prompts Evacuation of School in Springfield

A natural gas leak at a home on Windermere Street caused the evacuation of Samuel Bowles School on Thursday morning. This happened in Springfield.
Authorities say the gas leak was noticed at the school which sits next to the vacant home at 142 Windermere Street. The leak was reported at around 9 in the morning.
It is unclear at this time if there were injuries involved in this incident.
Sturbridge PD Responds to Hobbs Brook Plaza
