Firefighters Respond to Fire at Factory

Holyoke firefighters responded to a fire early Thursday. The fire started in a paint booth inside a factor on North Bridge Street. The fire then spread to the roof.

The blaze at International Container Co. was reported at around 4 in the morning.

The fire was quickly put out from inside the building. The spray booth has a sprinkler system that was activated.

This fire is still being looked into. The factor was in operation when the fire started. It appears that no one was injured.

Fire can do severe damage to property as well as to people. Building owners are responsible for making sure proper safety measures are being taken to prevent fires.
