Pedestrian Accident on Summer StreetWorcester, MA (July 9, 2018) – A pedestrian accident occurred in Worcester on Sunday morning.   Around 2:00 am, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Main Street in reference to a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident. Patrol officers quickly discovered that a pedestrian had been injured in this crash.  Officers radioed for an ambulance to respond to the scene to treat the injured pedestrian.  At this time, there is no word on the pedestrian’s condition.

Pedestrian Accident near Beacon StreetEaston, MA (July 9, 2018) – An 11 year old boy in Easton, Massachusetts was rushed to a hospital after being struck by an SUV on Sunday afternoon.  According to the Easton Fire Department, the boy was riding his bicycle in front of the Ames Free Library along Main Street when the collision occurred.  It is believed that the SUV driver remained on scene to cooperate with police following the crash.

The boy was rushed to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.  The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but there is no word on his condition at this time.  Easton police are still investigating the crash.  They have released no other details and it is unclear if they expect to charge the driver for any traffic violations leading up to the accident.

Accident with Car Fire in ChelmsfordWilbraham, MA (July 9, 2018) – A car fire was reported in Wilbraham, Massachsetts Sunday evening.  According to Captain Kevin Brown of the Wilbraham Fire Department, a person was traveling along Stony Hill Road when their car suddenly caught fire.  The driver had to pull into a driveway at 692 Stony Hill Road.  Police and fire officials quickly responded to the scene.  The driver was able to get out of the vehicle before officials arrived.

There is no word at this time on whether any passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the fire.  The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of burns.  There is no word at this time on what might have caused the fire.  The incident remains under investigation by the Wilbraham Fire Department.

According to police, at least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries.  The extent and severity of injuries is unknown at this time.  There is no word on the cause of the collision.  One other person was evaluated on scene but refused further medical treatment.

Traffic experienced massive delays as a result of the crash.  The roadway has since reopened and traffic is moving smoothly as of Monday morning.  Chicopee police are actively investigating the crash at this time.

4-Alarm Fire in Northborough Injures OneYarmouth, MA (July 9, 2018) – A tractor fire occurred on Sunday in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, causing injuries to the driver and delays for local motorists.  Police received the call around 10:00 pm  regarding a fire near exits 8 and 9 along Route 6.  A response to the scene came quickly.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a tractor that had caught fire.  The operator of the tractor suffered burns from the fire and was evaluated on scene by an EMS unit.  The extent of the burns are not known.  The Dennis Fire Department also responded to the scene and provided assistance with extinguishing the blaze.  There were no other cars or passengers involved in this crash.

Route 6 was closed down for a period of time as crews worked to make the roadway safe for passing traffic.  The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the fire and its cause.  The investigation is still ongoing at this time and no other details have been released.

cars_on_highway-300x225North Attleborough, MA (July 9, 2018) – The week got off to a slow start for some motorists on I-95 on Monday morning.  A crash near North Attleborough in the northbound lanes had a heavy effect on traffic and also resulted in report of injuries.

The crash happened in the travel lanes of the highway just before 6:30 am.  Police and emergency workers responded to a call for a crash with injuries just after 6:30.  Upon arrival, at least one person received medical attention and was then transported to a local hospital for additional treatment.  The crash caused heavy delays in and around the accident scene for nearly an hour while police worked to clear away the wreckage.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the accident and have released no further details at this time.

car-300x225Malden, MA (July 9, 2018) – A Monday morning head-on collision in Malden left two people injured.  The crash happened Monday morning just after midnight on Lynn Street.

Emergency crews responded to the crash scene near Holy Cross Cemetery.   Two cars were involved in this crash.  The Malden Fire Department says that two people were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.  At this time, police have not released any additional information regarding the crash or identified the drivers involved.

The Massachusetts State Police along with the Malden Police are conducting a joint investigation into the accident in order to determine the cause and whether any charges will be issued as a result of the crash.  More information will be provided as it becomes available.

images-1-9Wrentham, MA (July 8, 2018) – One person was killed in a rollover crash early Sunday morning in Wrentham.  The crash occurred on Interstate 495.  This crash occurred less than two hours after a fatal motorcycle crash in Rockland, marking a deadly night on Massachusetts roadways.

The Massachusetts State Police responded to the crash.  There, they found a car rolled over from the impact of a recent collision.  The driver was transported to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.  There is no word on what caused the collision.  It is also not immediately known if any other drivers or passengers were affected by the collision.  State Police are still looking into the crash and an investigation remains ongoing as of Sunday afternoon.  The deceased driver was not identified.

54505_motorcycle_01-300x224Rockland, MA (July 8, 2018) – One person is dead following an overnight motorcycle crash in Rockland on Saturday.  Police responded to the crash around 1:30 am on Route 3 southbound.  There, they discovered a motorcycle and truck that had been in a collision.

Following an investigation, police determined that the motorcycle collided with the back of a truck on the highway.  The motorcyclist is identified only as a 22 year old man from Hanover.  The truck driver has been identified as a 34 year old man from Monument Beach.

Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team is investigating the crash to determine how it occurred.  At this time, there is no word on which driver police believe to be responsible for the accident.  Further information will be reported as it becomes available.

download-6-3Brewster, MA (July 8, 2018) – A car and a scooter collided with one another on Sunday morning in Brewster, Massachusetts leaving one person injured.  The accident took place around 11:30 am on Main Street, just east of Nickerson State Park.  There were two people on the scooter at the time of the collision.  One of the scooter passengers was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries.  Police are still investigating the accident as of Sunday afternoon.
