Lowell Pedestrian FatalityPlymouth, MA (July 13, 2018) – A pedestrian in Plymouth, Massachusetts was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Thursday night.  The pedestrian, whom police have identified as a 70 year old man, was walking along Water Street late Thursday when the collision occurred.  An ambulance, along with police officers, arrived on the scene shortly after the incident.  The ambulance transported the man to South Shore Hospital with lower leg injuries that are not life-threatening in nature.

Police are actively investigating the cause of the crash.  It appears as though the driver remained on scene and assisted the law enforcement investigation.  There is no word on any charges arising from the accident at this and officers have not identified the vehicle or driver that hit the pedestrian.

Car Accident on Route 3 NorthboundPlymouth, MA (July 8, 2018) – A driver in Plymouth, Massachusetts was killed over the weekend when her car slammed into a utility pole.  The woman, who is identified only as a 57 year old Plymouth native, was traveling near State Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the pole.   There is no word at this time on the cause of the collision.  EMS and police responded to the scene and the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.

Plymouth police are still investigating this crash.  They have released no additional information regard the collision and have not identified the woman involved.  The woman was alone when the crash occurred and there were no other injuries reported.  Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

images-4-2Plymouth, MA (June 25, 2018) – A teen was struck while walking at a crosswalk in downtown Plymouth, Massachusetts on Monday afternoon.  The boy was walking at Main Street near Middle Street in a marked crosswalk area when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.  Plymouth police officers and emergency medical officials quickly arrived at the scene to tend to the 16 year old victim and treat his injuries.

The injuries sustained by the victim are not considered life-threatening, according to authorities. The boy was transported to South Shore Hospital to receive treatment.  Police report that the boy was wearing earbuds when he was struck in the crosswalk.  However, officers did the charge the motor vehicle operator, a 61 year old man from Plymouth, with failure to yield to a pedestrian.  No further information was released.

Vehicle Accident on Exit 26Police in Plymouth, Massachusetts are on the scene of an accident involving serious injuries Thursday morning.  The accident took place around 7:00 am on Route 3 at Exit 5, near Long Pond Road.  Police report that the accident occurred in the breakdown lanes of the highway.

At this time, emergency medical personnel are on the scene of the accident.  The motorists involved appear to have sustained serious injuries.  There is no word on whether the injuries are life-threatening.  There are heavy delays approaching the accident scene and motorists are advised to either avoid the area or be prepared for an extensive back up for a considerable distance leading to the crash site.  Authorities are still investigating and this is an active crash scene.   There is no word on driver identity or the cause of the crash.

Plymouth rollover accidentA Plymouth rollover accident took place involving two vehicles on Route 3. The accident took place early this morning. According to police, one of the vehicles involved in the accident rolled over. It is unclear of the extent of injuries that the driver received in the accident.

Rollover accidents come at a cost, as most of these accidents lead to serious injuries. This is because of the impact of these crashes and many other factors that we have to consider, such as if the driver and passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time.

On Monday, April 16, there were two morning car accidents reported on Route 3. At about 2: 00 p.m. another collision occurred, which was reported from Long Pond Road. All parties involved in that incident remained on scene to exchange information. There was a final accident at about 6: 30 p.m., reported on Court Street. There were no further details about injuries or causes of the accidents.

On Tuesday, April 17, there were three car accidents in Plymouth in the afternoon. They occurred on Home Depot Drive, Court Street and Commerce Way. None was reported as being hit-and-run accidents. Two collisions occurred in the evening on State Road and Summer Street. Again, no further information was released as to causes of the accidents or injuries.
