Massachusetts I-95 crash injuriesMansfield, MA (July 12, 2018) – A rollover crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Mansfield.  The crash, which occurred just after 5:00 pm, took place on Interstate 495, near the interchange with highway 95.  The crash, involving two vehicles, left one vehicle rolled onto its side as a result of the impact.  Police and rescue workers responded to the scene to discover at least one person suffering from injuries caused by the crash.  The victims were transported to the hospital but there is no word at this time on their condition.

Traffic in the northbound lanes was at a standstill while police and others worked to investigate the crash and clear away the accident scene.  The accident is the subject of an ongoing investigation and no conclusion has been reached regarding the cause of the crash.  Police have not identified either of the drivers involved at this time.

download-7Mansfield, MA (July 8, 2018) – The 4th of July week is ending with more fireworks-related injuries across our state.  On Saturday, a 38 year old man from Blackstone, Massachusetts suffered a significant injury while trying to light a firework in a parking lot.

The firework is described as “consumer-grade.”  The man suffered a significant hand injury when the firework exploded as it was being lighted.  A nearby off-duty police officer heard the explosion and ran to assist the injured man.  The man was bleeding heavily from his hand and arm.  A tourniquet was applied to slow the bleeding and the man was rushed to a nearby hospital.   There is no additional word on his condition.

Massachusetts State Police also responded to the scene and are currently looking into the explosion.  The case remains under investigation at this time.

Six-Vehicle Pile-up Accident in North Attleboro Causes InjuriesA crash this morning in Mansfield, Massachusetts resulted in injuries to at least one driver.  The crash involved multiple vehicles and happened around 9:00 am on I-495 near Exit 13 at I-95.  Police say that the crash caused injuries requiring medical treatment.  Mansfield officers and EMT personnel arrived on scene to treat the injured victims.  We do not know the severity or extent of the injuries at this time.

The crash caused heavy delays in the northbound lanes of I-495 at the tail end of the rush hour.  Traffic was backed up for a considerable distance leading up to the accident.  Eventually police were able to clear up the accident scene and traffic flow was restored to the area before 10:00 am.  The drivers involved in this crash were not identified.

Cataldo Ambulance UpdateA crash with reported serious injuries occurred in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday morning.  The crash was initially called in to the Mansfield Fire Department at 11:23 am.  Both fire and police officials responded to the scene of the crash shortly after the dispatch call was taken.  The crash took place at the intersection of Route 106 and Copeland Drive.

The crash was so severe that the Jaws of Life had to be used to remove injured victims from their cars.  The crash involved two vehicles, though no details were provided on how it occurred.  One of the injured victims was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital while the other was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.  Although the injuries are described a serious, police do not believe they are life-threatening.  The road remained for about 30 minutes while police investigated.  Shortly after noon, it was re-opened for motorists.  The crash remains under investigation.

Pratt Street accidentOne person was taken to a trauma center for injury treatment after a Pratt Street accident that took place in Mansfield, Massachusetts. The accident was so severe that it shut down part of the street on Saturday night.

The accident took place around 7 p.m. in the evening. The crash was a single-vehicle crash near Bicentennial Court. The Jaws of Life were used to retrieve the victim from their car. The individual was then transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

This morning, around 8:30 a.m., a big rig plowed through a red light intersection causing a multi-vehicle accident. The driver was trying to make a left turn, but ignored the red light and collided into traffic entering the intersection on the southbound Route 140. Mansfield multi-car collision

Mansfield Police report the incident occurred at Route 106 and Route 140. Injuries were minimized by the use of seat belts and properly deploying air bag systems.

The southbound lanes of Route 140 were closed to traffic. Traffic was prevented from entering the Foxborough area between West Street and Cabot Blvd. Traffic was also blocked off from Route 106 through Giles Place.

A total of three cars were involved in the accident and all were removed from the scene by a tow truck.

At 5:19 a.m. Massachusetts State Police released reports that a car rollover accident occurred in MansfieldMansfield two-car collision rollover injury

The accident took place on Route 495 North just before Route 95, near exit 13. It was a two-car collision with injury.

Lanes were closed to traffic temporarily.
