Hyannis, MA (July 7, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck by an alleged impaired driver early Saturday morning in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The collision took place around 1:00 am at the intersection of Main Street and Pine Avenue. The pedestrian was walking through the intersection when they were struck by the vehicle.
An ambulance arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver was investigated by Barnstable police following the crash. After administration of field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver was impaired. She was arrested and charged with OUI, speeding and operating to endanger. The crash remains under investigation.
