Newton, MA – Six Car Crash Causes Injuries

Newton, MA (July 10, 2018) – A six car crash in Newton, Massachusetts resulted in injuries Monday night. The crash occurred just after 6:00 pm at mile marker 124 in the eastbound lanes of Route 90. Massachusetts State Police responded to the initial accident call. MSP has not determined what caused the six vehicles to collide with one another, however the accident appears to be a type of chain reaction crash.

Medical personnel responded to the scene to assist police. Several people were hurt in the accident, however, their injuries are not life-threatening. Weymouth, MA – Police Respond to Crash on Norton Avenue

Weymouth, MA (July 10, 2018) – Police in Weymouth received a call at approximately 8:00 pm on Monday concerning an accident that had just occurred on Norton Street. The accident, which involved multiple vehicles, left at least one person with injuries. Police and other emergency officials responded to the crash. Once there, they located the injured victim. Medical treatment was given on scene and the victim was later taken to South Shore Hospital for further treatment.

Police blocked the affected area while they investigated the crash. Officers took statements from those on scene and completed a crash report. There is no initial word on the cause of this collision. The extent of injuries is also unknown at this time. Police are still investigation but did not issue any citations in the immediate aftermath of the crash.

Wareham, MA – Rollover Injures Three on Plymouth Avenue

Wareham, MA (July 10, 2018) – A Monday evening rollover collision on in Wareham left three people injured. The crash took place just before 6:00 pm at 271 Plymouth Avenue. Wareham police, along with the Wareham Fire Department and EMS responded quickly to the crash site, according to emergency broadcast reports. There were two cars involved in this crash. The force of the collision left one of the vehicles lying on its roof in the roadway when officials arrived on scene. There is no word as of Tuesday morning on what might have caused the vehicles to collide with one another.

Two people were transported by ambulance to Tobey Hospital for treatment of their injuries. There is no word on the condition of the injured victims or the extent of injuries sustained. Police are still investigating and there are no additional details available at this time.

Lynn, MA (July 10, 2018) – Police in Lynn, Massachusetts report a car accident with injuries that occurred on Monday morning. At 10:26 am, officers with the Lynn Police Department were dispatched in reference to an accident with injuries at 376 Washington Street. There was at least one person injured in this accident.

Beverly, MA – Monday Accident Leads to Injuries

Beverly, MA (July 10, 2018) – A driver in Beverly, Massachusetts was injured in a motor vehicle crash on Monday morning. The crash occurred at 10:55 am when Beverly police were called to Tozer Road in reference to an accident with injuries. Officers say that two vehicles collided with one another for unknown reasons.

Police discovered that one driver was injured in the crash and requested that an ambulance also respond to the crash. The injured victim accepted medical treatment. It is not known at this time whether the victim was also transported to the hospital for additional attention. Easthampton, MA – Driver Injured After Crashing Into Gas Station

Easthampton, MA (July 10, 2018) – A driver in Easthampton was sent to the hospital on Monday after driving his truck into a gas station. The collision occurred Monday morning at 124 Northampton Street. The driver was in the parking lot when he suddenly lost control of his truck and crashed through the front of the station, causing heavy damage to both the building and his truck. Easthampton police were on scene in less than 30 seconds, according to department officials.

In addition, an ambulance unit responded to the station to assist the driver with injuries sustained in the crash. The driver was given treatment on scene and later transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment of non life-threatening injuries. Officials with the building inspector’s office came to the crash scene to evaluate damage to the building. The gas station will be closed for an indefinite amount of time while the damage is repaired. Authorities have released no additional details regarding this crash as of Tuesday morning.

Taunton, MA – Pedestrian Hurt in Hit and Run

Taunton, MA (July 10, 2018) – A pedestrian in Taunton was hurt in hit and run that took place on Sunday morning, according to Taunton Police Lieutenant Eric Nichols. The victim, who has been identified only as a female, was at a home at 62 Shores Street when she was struck by a vehicle attempting to back out of a driveway. Taunton police have classified the incident as a “disturbance” but have provided no further information on what led up to the collision.

Police and EMS arrived on scene to treat the woman for injuries sustained after being struck by the car. She was transported to Morton Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. At this time, police have not made any arrests in the hit and run incident, however, they believe that they know the identity of the driver and are engaging in active search to find them. Weymouth, MA – Accident on Old Quarry Road Causes Injuries

Weymouth, MA (July 10, 2018) – An accident on Old Quarry Road in Weymouth resulted in injuries to at least one person Monday. Weymouth police received a report of a motor vehicle accident just before 6:15 am. Officer Stephen F. Malono responded to the crash scene to investigate. Officer Malono arrived on scene and determined at least one person was in need of medical assistance.

A local ambulance quickly arrived on scene to treat the injured victim. After receiving treatment on scene, the victim was transported to nearby South Shore Hospital for additional evaluation. The Weymouth Police are still looking into what caused this accident and are considering a number of potential factors in their investigation. No further information concerning the crash has been released at this time.

Melrose, MA – 85 Year Old Man Injured in Hit and Run Identified

Melrose, MA (July 10, 2018) – A hit and run in Melrose early Monday morning left an 85 year old man fighting for his life. Previously, we reported this to you yesterday. The man was injured just after 5:00 am Monday while walking along a street in Melrose. He was out for morning exercise when a wrong way driver struck him. As a result of the crash, he was left with life-threatening injuries.

Police have identified the injured man as 85 year old Frank Bozzo. Bozzo is a well known Catholic School archivist and Catholic father in his neighborhood. Neighbor Dave Curran, who heard the collision and rushed to Bozzo’s aid called it “a shame” that anyone would commit such a horrific act against another person. Melrose Police Chief Michael Lyle says police are focusing their search on a vehicle which may have unexplained damage to the passenger’s side. Police have yet to locate any suspects and have not released a description of the vehicle that hit Bozzo as of early Tuesday.

Orleans, MA – One Hurt After SUV Crashes Into Senior Center

Orleans, MA (July 9, 2018) – One person was injured on Monday after a vehicle crashed into a building. Police in Orleans, Massachusetts say that the crash happened just after 11:30 am when a Toyota Rav4 crashed through a wall at the Orleans Senior Center on Rock Harbor Road.

The building was occupied at the time of the crash. There were two occupants inside the Rav4 but neither of them were injured. One person inside the building received treatment for unknown injuries. Fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were sustained in the crash.

Officials are still looking into what caused the Rav4 to collide with the building. No arrests or charges have been brought at this time. Building inspectors were on site shortly after the crash to survey the damage.
