One Injured in Crash on Interstate 495

Interstates can be particularly dangerous roadways as thousands of cars travel across these useful paths every day. While caution should always be taken whenever one chooses to get behind the wheel, we urge particular caution whenever high speeds combine with an abundance of other drivers.

On May 23, an accident near Exit 40 on Interstate-495 injured two and resulted in a fire that engulfed one vehicle and upended another. Emergency responders received notification of an accident along the interstate and proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a pickup truck and Hyundai hatchback that appeared to have collided.

Through the course of the accident, the pickup truck rolled over onto its hood, severely damaging it as it came to a stop in the left lane. The hatchback remained upright but caught fire as a result of the crash. Andover Fire Rescue arrived at the scene and proceeded to extinguish the engulfed vehicle.

Bus Rear-Ended in Brockton

On May 22, a VHS van carrying one student was rear-ended by a Ford E-series van. The accident occurred near Pearl Street and Torrey Street, and emergency responders were called to the scene shortly afterwards. Reacting to the call of a crash involving a transportation van, police and firefighters arrived at the scene around 7 a.m.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered that the Ford had collided into the back of the van and causes substantial damage to the rear. The lone passenger in the VHS van was an Easton school student, and they suffered minor injuries in the accident. Statements were taken by police, and the roads were cleared and open to regular traffic shortly afterwards.

Update: Pedestrian Identified in West Bridgewater Accident

Accidents involving both vehicles and pedestrians often cause serious injuries to the pedestrian. Without the protection of a vehicle, pedestrians are particularly vulnerable and can sustain life-changing injuries when involved in an accident.

A pedestrian was severely injured on Sunday night after being hit by a car and has recently been identified. 28-year-old Vasiliki Vasvatekis is a Bridgewater resident who was struck by a vehicle while walking outside. According to initial reports, Vasvatekis was struck by a 42-year-old man as he drove his vehicle. West Bridgewater Police responded to the incident around 9 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Vasvatekis had serious head and leg injuries. She was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for initial treatment. She was later transported via medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center to receive further treatment for her injuries.

On May 21, police responded to an incident that occurred around 9 p.m. The accident occurred on West Center Street, near 106 and the Route 24 overpass. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered an injured pedestrian who is suspected to have been hit by a passing vehicle.

Drunk Driver Hits Car Then Pulls Gun on Driver

Vehicle accidents can be severe. Drunk drivers put everyone on the road around them at risk and are acting criminally. Their actions can cause serious injury to victims.

A man from Massachusetts has been accused of crashing into another car and then pulling over and pointing a gun at the other motorist while driving drunk on Tuesday morning. State troopers responded to the crash on I-95 in Woburn at around 2:30 a.m. The jeep driver, Jason Root, 37, was charged with driving under the influence and many other charges.

The actions of drunk drivers can cause injury and even fatalities. Driving drunk is a serious offense. We want to keep our roads safe and clear or drunk drivers, and we want to raise awareness about the severity of these actions. When victims are injured in these accidents, they deserve to receive compensation and help for their injuries.

Police Looking for Car Involved in Hit-and-Run on Clyde Street

Springfield police are searching for a car that was involved in a hit-and-run accident near Kenefick Park on Monday night. A witness said that a gold Mercedes hit a pedestrian and dragged him for a while before speeding off. The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center. Police continue to look for the victim.
