Officer Philip Kearney was the first to arrive at the scene and other emergency personnel arrived shortly afterwards. Upon arrival, first responders found that the accident had caused injury to the bicyclist. Medical care was administered at the scene. Truck Hits Tractor-Trailer on Route 6, One Injured

Drivers or large trucks must remain vigilant and always watch out for smaller vehicles and other cars must remember to be cautious around large trucks.

On May 26, a pickup truck driver collided with a tractor-trailer. First responders arrived on the scene on Route 6 westbound near Exit 8. The driver of the truck had to be transported to a trauma center off Cape Cod by a Medflight helicopter. His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, but their extent is still being determined.

The Yarmouth Fire Department worked to secure the scene and directed traffic around the area. The scene was cleared within the hour. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

Two-Vehicle Crash Caused when Driver Stung by Bees

It is vital for all drivers to remember to drive cautiously and follow the rules of the road. Negligent driving is a serious matter that can leave people with catastrophic injuries.

On May 26, several people were injured after a car full of bees crashed in the Berkshires. A station wagon that was carrying boxes of bees crashed head-on into another vehicle on South Main Street in Lanesborough.

According to first responders, five people were injured in the crash including a 4-year-old boy. None of the injuries appeared to be serious, but the extent of the injuries is still being investigated. Initial investigations by police indicated that the crash occurred after bees got loose in the station wagon and stung the driver. Many people were stung in the aftermath and during cleanup of the scene.

Pedestrians are not protected by helmets or seat belts, and they are exposed completely. It is vital for drivers to remember to watch out for pedestrians and for pedestrians to remain vigilant.

On May 26, a pedestrian accident caused injury to one man. The elderly man was hit by a car while crossing a street in Hyannis. Hyannis emergency officials responded to reports of a pedestrian who had been hit by a car. Upon arrival, they found the victim had extensive injuries, and he was flown by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

The driver was a 79-year-old man from Carver who was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Trax. No citations have been issued thus far. Police are still investigating this accident.

On May 26, a man was killed after a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. Massachusetts State Police identified the victim as 40-year-old Pierre Desir of Boston.

Desir was walking on Morton Street when a driver struck him. The vehicle that struck him did not stop. Upon arrival, first responders secured the scene and begin the investigation. Police are still seeking a taxi driver who may have witnessed the crash. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing by state police.

Initial reports found that the accident involved two vehicles, one of which left the scene shortly after the incident occurred. The incident was reported to first responders around 6 in the evening. Fire and police departments arrived on the scene of the accident shortly after.

Medical care was administered at the scene upon arrival, and no individuals had to be taken to the hospital. It appears there were no serious injuries, but the extent of the injuries is still being determined.
