
Hit-and-run drivers are acting especially recklessly when they flee the scene of an accident. They often leave victims behind to suffer, and these incidents can be particularly hard for victims to deal with. When these accidents happen, the hit-and-run driver is acting recklessly as well as criminally.
On June 1, the Worcester Police Department responded to a call they received about a hit-and-run accident. The incident was reported at approximately 12:00 p.m., and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene quickly. The accident occurred on the 1 block of Hooper Street.
Upon arrival at the accident, emergency personnel found at least one person had suffered from injuries because of the accident, and medical care was administered to this individual. One of the drivers involved had fled the scene, and statements were taken from those who remained. The extent of their injuries is still under review, and police are still investigating the accident.
