Pittsfield, MA- Biker Seriously Injured in Crash on Route 8

Pittsfield, MA (July 13, 2018) – A motorcyclist from New Hampshire suffered serious injuries on Thursday after a collision with a pickup truck on Route 8, near Cheshire Road. Pittsfield police have identified the motorcyclist as Cassius Bradford of Stamford, NH. Bradford was traveling north on Route 8 around 1:30 pm when he encountered a Ford pickup truck attempting to make a left turn out of a local business. The truck and motorcycle collided in the roadway. The truck driver has been identified by police as 56 year old John Bailey of Cheshire.

An ambulance transported Bradford to Berkshire Medical Center with arm and leg injuries. Although they are serious, Bradford’s injuries do not appear life-threatening according to police. Officer David Hallas of the Berkshire Police Department investigated the crash along with the Pittsfield Police Department, Lanesborough Police Department and Massachusetts State Police.

Police are still investigating the crash and have asked for anyone with further information or who may have witnessed the crash to come forward in order to assist the investigation.

Pittsfield, MA – Woman Injured in Two Vehicle Accident

Pittsfield, MA (July 8, 2018) – A woman was hurt Friday when she collided with another vehicle in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The woman, whose name has not been released, was operating a vehicle on Hubbard Avenue around 3:00 pm and attempting to make a turn out of a local business. The woman then collided with an Mazda SUV that was turning left across traffic.

The resulting impact of the collision left the woman with injuries. EMS responded to the crash and transported the woman to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to Officer David Hallas of the Pittsfield Police Department. The crash is still being investigated by local authorities. Delays were experienced on the scene until about 4:00 pm as police worked to clear away the wreckage from the crash.

Pittsfield, MA – Car Collides with Police Cruiser

Pittsfield, MA (July 4, 2018) – A police cruiser was involved in a crash with a vehicle on Tuesday in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The accident happened early Tuesday, around 1:00 am at the corner of Fenn and First Streets. At that time, a Pittsfield officer was transporting a prisoner to the police station when his police cruiser was struck by another car. There is no immediate word on what caused this crash to occur.

Injuries were sustained in this crash but we are told that they are not considered serious or life-threatening. It is unknown whether the police cruiser had its lights or sirens activated at the time of the crash. The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed as of Wednesday morning.
