Another Vehicle Crash in Woolwich Causes Injuries

Car accidents can happen out of nowhere, and car accidents that involve multiple vehicles can be especially devastating. These accidents can cause injury to many people at once and leave them suffering from determinantal injuries. We must all remember the duty of care we have to one another when behind the wheel and do our part to prevent accidents.

On June 4, a 1990 Dodge pick-up truck being driven by Forest Sidelinger was going northbound on Route 1 when Sidelinger attempted to turn around and pulled in front of a 2016 Mercury being driven by Robert Miller. The pick-up truck was then pushed into a 2017 Ford Focus being driven by Sarah Stewart.

Police heard of this accident and arrived on the scene to find that multiple people had sustained injuries in this collision. Melissa Sidelinger suffered minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital. Miller was transported to a nearby hospital with head and neck injuries, and a passenger in his vehicle was also taken to the hospital to be treated for head and neck injuries.

Accident with Injury on Expressway North

Car accidents can happen at any time, and they can happen quite suddenly. Serious accidents can leave victims dealing with injuries for many years to come, and the impacts of these accidents can be extremely devastating. While an accident can happen anywhere, it is extra important to remain vigilant while on freeways and highways.

On June 4, State Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident. The accident occurred around 2:50 in the afternoon, and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene quickly.

Upon arrival at Expressway north at Exit 9, they secured the area and directed traffic around the scene. The shoulder was blocked because of the accident. At least one individual sustained injuries, and they were given medical care at the scene. The extent of the injuries is still under review. However, no fatalities were reported. No further details were given by police.

Multi-Vehicle Accident Involving Stoughton Police Cruisers Injures One

Vehicle accidents that involve more than one vehicle can be especially dire. The impact of negligent driving can have a ripple effect that is sometimes harrowing, and we must all do our part to keep roads safe.

On June 4, a multi-vehicle car accident occurred at the intersection of Pearl Street and School Street. The incident was reported to Stoughton police who responded at the scene quickly after hearing the news. The accident caused damage to two police cruisers as well as two additional vehicles.

At least one person was injured in the accident, and they were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries is still being determined. No further details have been reported, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Bicycle Accident with Injury on Massachusetts Avenue

While accidents cannot be completely prevented, attentive driving can reduce the risk of an accident occurring. It is essential for all drivers to remember they share the road with bicyclists and need to look out for them.

On June 4, the Boston Police Department received information about an injury accident involving a bicycle and a vehicle. Initial reports said that the accident involved significant injury to the bicyclist. The accident was reported to police at 2:30 p.m. and occurred on 585 Massachusetts Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders administered care to the hurt individual, and they were transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. No fatalities were reported. The accident was cleared, and the normal flow of traffic resumed in the area.

3-Car Crash in Woolwich Injures Two

Negligent driving can leave people suffering from injuries and even cause fatalities. Drivers must all do their part to remain aware and do their best to keep themselves and others safe.

On June 4, a car crash involving three vehicles was reported to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office. First responders arrived to the scene of the collision at the intersection on Montsweag Road. Upon arrival, they found that a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer being driven by Raymond Lemon of Ware was southbound on Route 1 when it ran into a 2015 Ford Focus. The Focus was driven by Megan Horne who was attempting to make a left turn. The crash then pushed the car into the oncoming lane where it was struck by a 2015 Toyota being driven by Betty J. Yock.

Horne suffered back and neck injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Yock was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

One Man Killed, One Woman Injured in Collision in Wilbraham

Some car accidents can cause fatalities. These accidents are tragedies that leave family and friends behind to grieve their loss. Whenever anyone gets behind the wheel, they must remember that their negligence actions could have deadly consequences. We must all do our part to keep these accidents from occurring.

One person was killed and another was severely injured in a two-car accident that occurred in Wilbraham. Police were notified of the accident around 11:30 p.m., and they arrived on this scene quickly afterwards.

The accident occurred on 934 Main Street near Branch Road. Upon arrival, they found the accident involved two vehicles, each with one occupant. Both drivers, one man and one woman, were from Hampden and were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The man was pronounced dead while at the hospital, and the woman was in critical condition. Their identities have not been released at this time, and the crash remains under invitation.

Hit-and-Run Accident on Essex Street Injures One

The potential for a serious accident to happen should remind us all to remain vigilant whenever we are driving. Drivers who do cause accidents also have a responsibility to remain at the scene.

On June 3, the Cambridge Police Department received information about a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian and a hit-and-run driver. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. and occurred on Essex Street. One victim sustained injuries in the accident, and medical care was administered to this individual. There were no fatalities reported.

According to internal reports, Dorchester resident was involved in the accident, and her daughter had been struck by a motor vehicle which failed to stop after the incident. The woman told police that the driver paused for a second or two before driving away.

Crash Involving Parked Tow Truck Kills Michael Avelar

Car accidents can sometimes be fatal. Accidents that cause fatalities can leave family, friends, and entire communities grieving. Drivers must remember that they share the road with other people. We must all do our utmost best to keep accidents from happening.

On June 3, Massachusetts State Police responded to a vehicle accident that involved a car and a parked tow truck. Troopers responded to the scene on Interstate 95 southbound in Attleboro around 2 in the morning. Upon arrival, they discovered that Michael Avelar, of Stoughton, had been severely injured, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tow truck had been killed by a police officer to remove a disabled vehicle from the highways. No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Fire and police authorities cleared the scene within the hour.

Hit-and-Run Accident on Main Street in Worcester

Reckless driving can leave victims with serious injuries, and victims can struggle to recover from these injuries for many years. Drivers who flee the scene of an accident are acting criminally and possibly leaving victims behind to not get medical care.

On June 3, the Worcester Police Department received information about a motor vehicle accident that involved a hit-and-run driver. Internal reports indicated the accident involved two vehicles, one of which fled the scene. The incident was reported around 6 in the evening and occurred at the 400 block of Main Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found that at least one victim was suffering from injuries. The extent of their injuries is still being determined, but the injuries do not appear to have been life-threatening. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance.

Arthur J. Healey Jr. Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Motorcycle accidents can be fatal. The risk of a serious accident occurring should remind us all to remain violent when we are driving. Motorcyclists are at a higher risk because they are not protected by a vehicle. Drivers must look out for people on motorcycles and share the road with them.

On June 3, State Police received information about a motorcycle accident that occurred in Woburn. A motorcyclist from Barre, Vermont, was killed in the accident that occurred on the ramp from Interstate 93 to Interstate 95. According to police, Arthur J. Healey Jr., 75, was driving his 2017 Harley around 1:00 p.m. when the accident occurred.

The motorcycle left the highway, and the sustained traumatic injuries. It appears that another vehicle was involved, but this accident is still under investigation. Police closed the ramp while the scene was cleared, and the ramp was reported around 2:30 p.m.
