Accidents that happen on highways can be some of the most devastating incidents as they involve impacts at high speeds. On June 5, the Burlington Police Department received information about a two-vehicle accident that occurred around 1 in the afternoon. Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene on 69 Middlesex Turnpike. Upon arrival, they discovered that a Ford Focus and a Jeep Compass were involved in the accident.
One of the drivers sustained injuries in the accident, and medical care was given to this individual. The extent of their injuries is still under review. However, no fatalities were reported. The scene was secured and statements from those involved and witnesses were taken by police.
