Residents were ordered to stay in place on Wednesday morning after a man opened fire on police and then barricaded himself inside a home in Middleboro.
Police were serving a warrant at around 9:30 in the morning. When they approached the home, a man fired shots at them. No officers were hit. They set up a perimeter around the house.
Police in Boston are looking into a shooting that left two people dead.
According to police, two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. One of them was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition. He died later while at the hospital.
The victims have not been defined at this time. The incident occurred at the Mildred Hailey Apartments Courtyard.
