Tragedy struck this morning on Route 1 in Rowley, Massachusetts. Just after 8:00 am the Massachusetts State Police were dispatched to a crash involving a dump truck and a small passenger vehicle at an intersection. Upon their arrival, they discovered at least one person suffering from life-threatening injuries. Since then, police have now announced that at least one person has died in the crash.
Route 1 has been closed indefinitely while the investigation remains ongoing. Police and investigators with the Massachusetts State Police crash reconstruction team are now on scene taking measurements and trying to determine how the collision occurred. There is no word on the identities of the victims involved in the crash.
