At Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, community service is woven into the fabric of our practice. Every client who walks through our doors entrusts us with something precious, their well-being after a life-altering injury. Honoring that trust means prioritizing safety, health, and dignity in the courtroom and everywhere we live and work. That is why my team and I dedicate significant time, funds, and energy to various charitable partners. Below is an inside look, straight from us, at the programs we support and why they matter.
Inclusion, Health & Disability
I believe no one should face life’s challenges alone, and that begins with opening doors for people of all abilities. Our partnership with Best Buddies International exemplifies that commitment. Each spring, we participate in the Hyannis Port 100-mile Challenge, raising critical funds to enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience friendship, employment, and leadership programs.
That spirit drives our sponsorship of the Service Dog Project Ride and the Boston Wounded Vets Run. Veterans who sacrificed their health for ours deserve unwavering support. With our signature $7,777 gas-card giveaway, we help provide life-changing service dogs and direct financial relief to severely injured service members by underwriting these motorcycle rallies.
Health and safety start young, too. Through the National Youth Sports Safety Foundation, we supply educational materials and advocacy that keep children on the field and out of the hospital. And as a Proud Partner of the Boston Bruins Foundation B-FIT Challenge, our staff laces up alongside first responders to promote fitness initiatives that strengthen body and mind across New England.
Cycling Safety & Active Transportation
Cycling advocacy naturally aligns with a firm that champions road-user safety. I ride to work whenever possible, and many of our attorneys log hundreds of miles yearly. Partnering with MassBike to host the iconic Midnight Marathon Ride allows us to spotlight safe-passing laws and visibility tips for thousands of riders and motorists.
We also field teams in the Pan-Mass Challenge and the Bikes Not Bombs Bike-A-Thon, events that funnel millions into cancer research and youth empowerment. By matching employee pledges, we double every dollar our riders raise—and underscore our belief that fewer crashes and healthier communities go hand in hand.
Environmental Stewardship
Long before “paperless office” became a buzz phrase, we founded RainforestMaker and its Boston initiative, LATTE—Lawyers Accountable to the Earth. Our attorneys and paralegals have planted over 30,000 native trees, from Dorchester to Costa Rica, while helping firms worldwide reduce paper consumption. Those seedlings remind us that sustainable practices protect the families we fight for in court.
Closer to home, you will often find our crew hauling mulch and soil at local park revitalizations in New Bedford, Roxbury, and beyond. Breathing life into green spaces is one more way we make Massachusetts safer and more vibrant for everyone.
Youth & Education
Access to education changes lives, so each year we fund the Jeffrey Glassman American Law School Scholarship. Whether the recipient is a first-generation college student or an LLM candidate championing civil-justice outreach, we aim to ensure tomorrow’s legal talent reflects the communities we serve.
Holidays also bring out our inner kids. We transform the office into a Toys for Tots collection hub and personally deliver truckloads of gifts. Food-bank drives and disease-specific fundraisers complement a calendar that keeps our staff engaged in acts of kindness throughout the year.
Veteran & First-Responder Motorcycle Events
If you spot our orange-and-black logo at Matty’s Mustache Ride or another American Legion charity rally, come say hello. Many of our employees ride, and those open-road miles strengthen bonds with first responders who rush to the same crash scenes we later litigate. Supporting their causes is simply the right thing to do.
Why We Give—And Why It Matters to You
Every charity listed above shares a core mission with personal-injury law: preventing harm and rebuilding lives when damage occurs. By sponsoring cycling helmets, funding safe-sports programs, or planting trees that filter our air, we create positive change before a lawsuit is filed.
Just as important, these partnerships keep our team grounded. Volunteering alongside veterans, parents, cyclists, and children with special needs reminds us daily who we fight for and why meticulous legal work is worth the effort.
An Invitation From Our Team
If you seek legal representation after an injury, we hope this glimpse into our values offers reassurance. Compassion, diligence, and community spirit guide every decision, from settlement negotiations to pro bono hours.
And if you are looking for a cause to support or a day of hands-on service, join us. Ride a bike, plant a sapling, or cheer on athletes with disabilities, and Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers members will be beside you. We can build safer streets, healthier bodies, and stronger neighborhoods.
