In Bridgwater, a car traveling on Route 24 went up in flames after a car accident involving two-vehicle occurred. Firefighters and state troopers responded around 10:45 a.m. to the northbound side of Route 24 to find heaving flames from what appeared to be a sedan. Multiple lanes were closed while crews extinguish the fire. The highway has since been reopened.

One individual sustained injuries in the accident, and they were given medical care at the scene. The cash is still under investigation.

Upon arrival at the scene on Walnut Street overpass, responders discovered the accident was caused by a head-on collision. Two vehicles were towed. Four individuals sustained injuries, and medical care was administered to these individuals. There were no fatalities reported, and the extent of the injuries is still under review.

Upon arrival, they found that a 1997 Ford Thunderbird being driven by Laura Gurley caused the accident as she attempted to make a left turn into a local bank parking lot and missed the entrance. The driver of the other vehicle was injured in the collision, but the extent of their injuries is still under review. The scene was cleared within the hour.
