Accident on Route 95 at Exit 8Worcester, MA (July 12, 2018) – A crash with injuries is slowing the Thursday morning commute in Worcester.  Just after 6:30 am a crash was reported in the eastbound travel lanes of Interstate 290, near exit 21 at Plantation Street.  Two vehicles collided with one another at this location.  Authorities, including police, fire and ambulance officials are on the scene of the accident.   There are injuries reported from this crash, though there is no word on the severity of injuries or whether anyone has been taken to the hospital.

Heavy delays are being experienced as driver approach the accident scene.  Police have asked motorists to avoid the area for at least an hour while the wreckage is cleared and the roadway is re-opened for traffic.  An active investigation is ongoing into this crash.   No further details are immediately available.

cars_on_highway-300x225Marlborough, MA (July 11, 2018) – Police in Marlborough, Massachusetts responded to an accident scene along I-290 Wednesday morning.  The accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the roadway, at exit 26.  Police and emergency officials received a call around 7:45 am Wednesday regarding a multiple vehicle accident with injuries.  First responders came to the crash site and discovered at least one injury had been sustained in this wreck.

Police blocked off the area in which the accident occurred while they tended to the injured and investigated the crash.  Statements were obtained by those involved and a physical survey of the accident scene was taken.  Police in Marlborough are still completing their investigation and have not released a cause for the crash.  No word on the condition of those injured or their identities.
