Crash in Chicopee Closes Road

When driving, it can get easy to be complacent when driving in familiar areas. It might be easy to think that an accident won’t happen in a place you are familiar with, but this is not the case. Accidents can happen in any place and at any time. Since this is true, all drivers need to do their part to follow the rules of the road and remain aware at all times.

On June 4, Chicopee Police received information about a two-vehicle crash. The incident occurred in Chicopee and was reported to first responders around 10 in the morning.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at Huntington Avenue and Crestwood street and found that one of the  vehicles had crashed into a utility pole. The driver of this vehicle sustained injuries, but their extent is still under review. Police closed the road until about 11 a.m. as crews cleaned up.
