Car Fire Lawsuit

When a vehicle fire takes place, a vehicle catches fire due to some defect with the car equipment. Any type of incident that results in a car fire may be grounds for a personal injury lawsuit against the car manufacturer. This is because the car manufacturer has a duty to provide and sell a safe motor vehicle.

A car fire can occur because the gasoline tank has been damaged in the accident. It can be as simple as a crack by a rock or the force of the impact. The tank can thereby explode when there is contact between parts of the vehicle that should not be in contact. A hole in the gasoline tank can allow for ignition of a fire.

The impact on the outside of the vehicle can contribute to a vehicle fire. The parts of he vehicle protecting the battery may not be designed sufficiently for protection and actually may cause the fire. When the impact causes a part of the car to make contact with the battery acid a fire is ignited, which is further fueled by the nearby engine.

All of these scenarios will happen quickly, often times too quickly to get to safety before injury occurs.
