On June 7, State Police responded to a vehicle crash on the westbound side of Massachusetts Turnpike in Springfield. The crash slowed commuter traffic in the area and occurred about a mile before Exit 6.
A motorist, around 9 a.m., crashed into another vehicle. State Police at the Westfield barracks arrived at the scene and secured the area. Medical care was administered to the injured individual at the scene. The extent of their injuries is still being determined, and no fatalities were reported.
