On June 3, the Cambridge Police Department received information about a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian and a hit-and-run driver. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. and occurred on Essex Street. One victim sustained injuries in the accident, and medical care was administered to this individual. There were no fatalities reported.

According to internal reports, Dorchester resident was involved in the accident, and her daughter had been struck by a motor vehicle which failed to stop after the incident. The woman told police that the driver paused for a second or two before driving away.
