Vehicle and Bus Crash on I-93

Bus accidents can be extremely devastating as the sheer weight and size of these vehicles can be a deadly force. These accidents can also impact multiple people as buses often carry many passengers. Bus drivers must drive with extreme caution, and other drivers must remember that buses and other large vehicles have large blind spots and take longer to come to a stop.

On May 23, the Massachusetts Police Department received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a vehicle and an MBTA bus. This accident occurred on I-93 southbound in the HOV lane on Lower Deck in Boston around 6:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, emergency responders administered care for minor injuries and transported victims to Massachusetts General Hospital. The HOV lane was closed for several hours as Medford Police proceeded to block the access to the lane and direct traffic away from the wreckage.

Car Accidents and Injuries

Bus accidents can cause severe injuries to victims. These vehicles are larger than the average car on the road, and their size makes them more likely to cause serious injuries. Due to this, we urge all drivers to take special care when driving near large vehicles like buses, and bus drivers also have a responsibility to drive safely.

At the Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, we know how devastating bus accidents can be. As members of our community, we encourage everyone to drive cautiously around large vehicles like buses and maintain constant awareness of their surroundings. However, we know that accidents can happen even when drivers are taking every precaution. As such, we are also committed to helping victims receive assistance.
