Plymouth House Fire Injures OneThe Boston Police Department was called to an injury accident on Thursday afternoon.   The accident took place around 2:30 pm in the 200 block of Seaver Street.  Officer Miguelangelo Pires with the BPD received the dispatch call and went to the scene.  Upon arrival, Officer Pires found at least one victim injured in the crash.   Medical personnel also responded to the scene to check on the injured victim.

The Boston Police Department has not released any further details regarding this collision, including the cause of the crash or injuries of the drivers involved.  We hope that those injured in the accident have a speedy and full recovery.

downloadThe Boston Police Department responded to an accident between a bicyclist and a motor vehicle on Thursday afternoon.  At approximately 1:15 pm, the BPD was dispatched the accident scene.  Officer Exhni Qirici took the call for service.  Upon arrival, Officer Qirici observed that the bicyclist was injured in the crash.  Medical personnel also responded to the scene.

There is no additional word on injuries at this time and the names of those involved have not been released.  There is no indication that the injuries are life-threatening.  Police have not said whether the driver of the vehicle will face charges.

Rollover Accident on I-90Tragedy struck this morning on Route 1 in Rowley, Massachusetts.  Just after 8:00 am the Massachusetts State Police were dispatched to a crash involving a dump truck and a small passenger vehicle at an intersection.  Upon their arrival, they discovered at least one person suffering from life-threatening injuries.   Since then, police have now announced that at least one person has died in the crash.

Route 1 has been closed indefinitely while the investigation remains ongoing. Police and investigators with the Massachusetts State Police crash reconstruction team are now on scene taking measurements and trying to determine how the collision occurred.  There is no word on the identities of the victims involved in the crash.

Fatal Car Accidents

Injury Accident on Walk Hill StreetA hit and run Thursday morning in Fall River, Massachusetts left one person dead.  29 year old Christopher Mills on Taunton was driving a motorcycle north on Highland Avenue.  That is when a box truck, driven by 37 year old Ivan Dominguez, attempted to make a turn onto Courtney Street.  Dominguez’s truck collided with the motorcycle, leaving Mills with serious injuries.  He was transported to a hospital and later died.

Dominguez fled the scene of the accident.   Accident reconstruction later showed a 25-30 foot path of skid marks where Mills attempted to stop before contacting the box truck, indicating that the truck made an unsafe turn.  Dominguez was later located by police and arrested at his home, where he has been charged with fatal hit and run.  The accident remains under further investigation.

Hit and Run Accidents

Accident on Route 24 SouthA woman killed in a crosswalk accident earlier this week has now been identified by authorities.  Police in Worcester have identified the victim as 20 year old Gabriella Lowell.   Lowell was walking at a crosswalk on Grafton Street around 9:00 pm on Tuesday night.  There, police in Worcester say she was struck by a blue 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The Pathfinder driver has been identified as only a 21 year old man.

The driver of the Pathfinder remained on scene.  He cooperated with authorities and was being questioned about the accident.   At this time, police have not filed any charges in connection to the wreck.  It is unclear if charges will be filed at a later date.

Pedestrian Accident

Accident at Route 212 in MethuenA moped was hit by a truck at approximately 9:00 pm on Thursday night.  The crash occurred on east 8th street in Boston.  That is when the moped attempted to make a turn from a side street onto 8th street.  The pickup truck collided with the moped shortly after it made the turn.  The force of the collision threw the moped riders, identified only as two teenage girls, into the air several feet before the landed on the ground.  The moped was crushed in the collision.

The two moped riders are in a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The pickup driver remained on scene to speak with police.  No charges have been issued at this time and police continue to investigate.

images-2Boston Police responded to a pedestrian injury accident on Thursday morning.  The accident happened at around 10:00 am at 3035 E. Washington Street.  That is where police received a report that a motor vehicle struck a pedestrian in the roadway.  Boston Police Officer Brendan Wheeler handled the call for help.

While we know that the pedestrian was injured, the extent of the injuries remains unknown at this time.   Neither the driver of the vehicle nor the pedestrian have been identified.  The accident remains currently under further investigation.

Serious Car Crash on Grafton StreetA crash involving multiple vehicles and injuries was occurred early Friday morning.  The crash took place in the northbound lanes of Route 1, near Wrentham Massachusetts.  Police and medical personnel were called to the scene of the crash just after 7:00 am local time.  Upon arrival, they noted a crash with injuries.  Medical treatment was provided on scene.  Traffic in the area experienced very heavy delays while the investigation remained ongoing and was backed up for several miles leading into the accident scene.

images-2A pedestrian has life-threatening injuries following an accident on Thursday in Chelmsford.  The accident happened around 2:40 pm.  At that time, police were dispatched to Billerica Road and Omni Way. Upon arrival they located a 54 year old man from Lowell suffering from life-threatening injuries.  The man was airlifted to a Boston Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Further details about his injuries were not available.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and was interviewed by police regarding the accident.  No further information has been provided about the cause of the collision as police continue to investigate.
